OMG. Stella, I thought that picture was of a caterpillar. LOL. After staring at it a little longer, I saw it was birds. Poor birdies.

If they don’t like the snow, they can come here. We are 67* with light breeze and full sun.

czarina, have you seen a movie from a few years ago called Christmas in Mississippi? I came across it on Prime and watched it, only because it is set in Gulfport. I could not identify much that looked familiar to me; I’ve not been back to Gulfport since about 1986 though. Of course there were the usual drone/helicopter shots following Hwy 90 along the beach. And the main character’s family home looked much like Bouvier (sp?). I thought all the big old plantation type homes on the beach got wiped out in Katrina. It’s the usual Hallmark-y romantic comedy Christmas movie, but sorta fun to see the old hometown as the setting. I’d love to know if you recognize more than I do!

That’s Beauvoir. French spelling gets me every time.

No, never heard of it. Bouvier burned and they rebuilt it. Most of the beach has newer houses, rebuilt up in the air. Not too many more hotels.

Mornin’ Stella and Wee. Oops……Afternoon, Stella and Wee. I made it to the license place and got my Montana license yesterday. Of course it got complicated because of the eye exam paper that was sent to the state back 4 months ago. The state worker looked at it and wanted me to take a driver test ?????. Don’t know why that would tell them anything about my eyes. Anyway, the dear, sweet people who were helping me got them to agree to give me my license and have me come back in 3 months for a recheck, which I agreed to. Oh, I had passed the eye test they had me take there, so the only problem was the old written test from the eye doctor. Anyway, I got a call this morning that I didn’t have to come back, it was all straightened out. They had worked it out. Bless their hearts (for real).
It is 24* and overcast again. When I say “overcast”, I mean the sky is white and it is bright outside. That is not how I pictured it would be. I thought it would be pretty dark.
Well, have to get ready to go to the dentist again. I think he will pull the tooth this time. I will be glad to be rid of it.
Okay, hope everyone has a safe and nice day.

Finally got back from the dentist. He had to take the tooth out piece by piece, but hopefully this will be the end of it. He is worried about my sinus since the tooth went way up into it and there is some infection. Now I have to get an antibiotic.

Got the septic pumped out with the new auxiliary trash pump. Turns out the prior one cracked in the freeze, so I had to buy another one yesterday. However, my brother, who knows such things, said I could buy a new housing for the reservoir, and the broken one would be good as new.
The septic service man diagnosed a worn out submersible pump as the septic tank problem, ordered a new one from someplace like Minnesota, for $525, possibly to be here by Monday, meaning I won’t have to do the auxiliary pumping everyday.
Next job is digging 6 crepe myrtles out of the Knock Out rose hedge. This is the time to transplant woody plants, and I’m taking them to the new yard at my brother’s house. The plants rooted from flower buds thrown off the Natchez Crepe myrtles Czar and I planted at the ends of our house.

I miss Czar! I know you do a thousand times more. His and Menagerie’s pun battles cracked me up every time.

Re the Idaho murders. Based on the affidavit re Bryan Kohberger, it appears that they identified him via his Hyundai Elantra, then confirmed via dna left on a knife sheath at the scene of the crime. Obtained dna from their trash in Pennsylvania to confirm that the son was at the scene of the crime.
