    Just barely afternoon All. Our temps have soared up to a toasty 8*. If it gets up to 10*, I may make a try for the mailbox. I haven’t gotten any notifications of mail for the last 3 days. Maybe they don’t do “rain, sleet, and snow” anymore.

    Walmart never did deliver yesterday. When I got a chat with them, I ended up with a $10 off coupon, however. My grandgirls are all sick so they aren’t going to church and I am not going over there until they are all well. I might just end up another one to take care of. Bless my DIL and son, they are going to save Christmas presents until I can come. I thought that was very sweet. But, what a disappointment.

    Hope all of you are warm and well. And, Merry Christmas.

    P.S. Big news……it isn’t snowing.

    What a beautiful day….The sun is shining and everything is buried in the white beauty in the aftermath of the Arctic wind and snow.

    Went out this morning and was able to widen my path through the snow drifts outside my door by another foot. I might have it fully shoveled by spring time, but in the meantime, it’s supposed to get to about 5 ABOVE zero this afternoon and it’s good to be out of the absolutely frightening low temperatures.

    The world we live in has turned into this nuthouse, self-centered, narcissistic world where fewer and fewer “educated” people make any sense at all. This HS principal didn’t tell students who were named National Merit Scholars of their award…………because of “equity”…….or some such nonsense. One kid’s momma just found out and she’s a lawyer. Hope this ends like I think it should. Not often do I side with the lawyers. 😉

    A picture, they say, is worth a thousand words. But there are only a few profane words to describe the obscene scene as the two women closest in line for the presidency hoisted the Ukrainian flag from the dias of the House of Representatives while swooning over Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Congress cheered on December 21. (This appears to be the first time in history the flag of another nation essentially flew inside the U.S. Capitol building.)

    “They asked me to bring this flag to you, to the U.S. Congress, to members of the House of Representatives and senators whose decisions can save millions of people,” Zelenskyy said before handing the flag to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Kamala Harris. “This flag is a symbol of our victory in this war.”

    But even more telling—sickening?—was the image in the same photo of a House staffer wearing a black face mask standing silently, eyes cast downward, behind a tri-folded American flag in a shadow box as the celebration ensued. The unintentional contrast said it all. Our once-thriving and free country is slowly dying at the hands of frauds, crooks, and cowards—and they’re not even trying to hide it from us. They are flaunting it. After two decades of gradually amassing power and control under the ruse of national security, the ruling class is exercising that power in a ruthless way. . .

    In a last bit of symbolism Wednesday night, Zelenskyy exited the House chambers carrying the case holding the folded American flag. A two-bit actor and international con man walked out with billions of American dollars and a cherished token of America’s sacrifice and in the real fight for freedom, justice, and security.

    And the fiends in the hall systematically destroying that legacy for the people they are elected to represent cheered again.

    Traitors.
