Italy is a funny looking country, isn’t it? Interesting how the southern Italians are dark complected and the northern are fair.
Would love to visit the Adriatic!

Good day, weather! I’d love to go to Venice which is way north on the Adriatic.

It’s always easy to pick out Italy on a map because…like we learned in 9th grade World Geography…it’s shaped like a boot. When you consider how close Italy is to North Africa, you can see why there is a difference in skin color between the north and south parts of Italy.

All the countries on the east side of the Adriatic (except Austria which you can see is further inland and not on the sea) were once communist. Italy itself has had a problem with communists trying to take over for decades. So has Greece.

Keep your eyes and ears open. A whole lot of people are pretty sure that Mrs. Bronco Bama will be the next D nominee for the Casa Blanca.

Afternoon All. We are in the low 20’s with very light snow sprinkles right now. It is supposed to get down to a -19* during the night in the middle of next week, but, then it soars allllllll the way up to the high 30’s come Christmas. And, should stay that way for a week or so. We will see. The weather guessers may just be playing a trick on us.

Christmas is only a week away. I never got cards mailed because when I ordered stamps, I guess I didn’t hit the “order” button. I went back through it all yesterday and I certainly can understand why I missed it. But, I am now waiting on the stamps to be delivered. My friend sent me a Florida Christmas card, as she said, “with lot of sun.” Going to finish wrapping presents today. And, maybe watching a Christmas movie. Stay safe and healthy.

Stella, this is up in your neck of the woods. I’ve not been there yet, but will sometime. My Great-Grandfather was the general contractor of the estate. He built a number of Carnegie libraries and schools in IN where I was raised after this work.

A couple of decades ago I was a volunteer docent at Meadowbrook. Nicest way to see the Christmas Walk! I worked just a couple of miles from there for 30+ years.

Our company held a 3-day sales meeting there in the 1980’s. At that time, our out of town guests were allowed to stay in the Hall in the best bedrooms! Not allowed these days.

ADD: We had one formal dinner in the main dining room. Our out of town guests also ate their breakfasts there. Our meetings were held in the ballroom. I have photos somewhere.
