Good morning, Czarina! Generally, people would be OK with that…except atheists, maybe.
In today’s world, it’s probably best to have any displays on private property where the owners would be responsible for security and maintenance. Then taxpayers wouldn’t be footing the bill and wouldn’t have a say-so in what is allowed (except for noise abatement).

Mornin’ All. Snowed again last night and is still snowing now. There is several more inches. I guess I won’t be doing laundry today.
My family came over yesterday. I had made sandwiches and finger foods and after we ate we got out the Christmas decorations and my 7′ pencil tree. I have a lot of tree decorations that are dolls and ballerinas and the girls just loved putting them on the tree. One funny thing that happened was I have a picture of my son and DIL from when they first met. When my son showed it to the 2 1/2 yr old and told her that was mom and dad, she shook her head and said “Mama…….not Daddy.” He had to convince her that was him when he didn’t have a beard. LOL
My goodness, I can hardly believe it is already the 5rh of December. Time is passing so fast. Hope you all have a happy week.

Mornin’ Aus. Ya gotta have fortitude when you live in snow country. And a car more suited to it than your Crown Vic. Something with 4-wheel drive and studded tires. And your own washer/dryer. Hang in there! The rewards of family are worth it. Glad you had fun with the grandkids yesterday.

You can learn to drive a rear wheel drive on snow and ice. Go to an empty parking lot (or have someone drive you there) and practice. Maybe chains would help too.

Just got my winter tax bill. Immediate results of a ballot initiative in November means that I am now paying $39 for public transit in my county. Something I never use. I would have used it when I was still working if it got me where I needed to go – which it did not.

I’d wager that famous blacks of the mid-40s when this film was made (1946), didn’t think it was a segregationist, white supremacist or racist movie. Frank Capra, the director, certainly wasn’t a white supremacist, or Jimmy Stewart a Klan member (he was a Republican and we know only Democrats founded, ran and joined the KKK).
