The movie WHITE CHRISTMAS includes many songs on the soundtrack. However, I found this tidbit in a trivia article about the film (https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/holidays/christmas-ideas/g2997/white-christmas-movie-facts/)….
“There’s no ‘official’ soundtrack. The soundtrack rights for the film were controlled by Decca, but Rosemary Clooney was under exclusive contract to Columbia, a competing record label. So in 1954, Decca recorded and released an album with the movie cast minus Rosemary (her part was sung by Peggy Lee). And Columbia released an album with Rosemary singing eight songs from the film, which means the only way to hear her sing with Bing is on-screen!”
Technicolor film certainly makes the colors pop. You can always tell when a film has been made with that process.
From the video notes: “Irving Berlin won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “White Christmas,” which had its film debut in HOLIDAY INN, performed as a duet by Bing Crosby and Marjorie Reynolds. Watch the song’s origins here!”
