    Stellars, have a blessed Sunday!

“Be Not Afraid” was written in 1975 by Robert J. Dufford. Born in 1943, he is a Jesuit priest and a composer of Catholic liturgical music. The lyrics for this hymn are directly inspired by the Bible, specifically Isaiah 43:2-3 and Luke 6:20.

Isaiah 43:2-3 – “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.”

Luke 6:20 – “And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.”

Mornin’, all. Our Favorite Sunday Columnist has some thoughts on how our side should conduct hearings………..she knows that they won’t but should. Coffee’s on the way.

Speech and Hearing conference is done. Three+ days of hanging with colleagues and hearing about good stuff which will improve services to people with communication challenges. Not much woke stuff (although our badges showed our “pronouns”, and there were two multi-stall toilets which were labeled “gender neutral”).

Now back to getting ready for the holidays. Having Stanley Steamer clean my floors and grout tomorrow, then I will reseal all the floors, replace the furniture, and decorate for Thanksgiving. Today is for grocery shopping, removing all small stuff on the floors, and cleaning baseboards. Baseboards may have to move into tomorrow afternoon, if the grocery store is crowded and I run late.

Mornin’All. It was 5* when I went to bed last night and it is now a toasty 12*. I don’t know how low it actually got in the wee hours. Loki does not like that stuff they put on the sidewalk to melt the snow. It is supposed to be pet friendly, but I wonder about it. The grass in the back near our patio is clear of snow, so I am going to try to keep her there. She doesn’t want to poop on our grass. She goes across the sidewalk to their grass and poops. Of course, I pick it up.

I still haven’t found a ride to church. Guess when I said I didn’t drive in the snow, people thought I meant a blizzard, not just that it had snowed. Guess I will have to wait for Spring, whenever that is.

Well, anyhoo, hope you all have a nice day in whatever weather you have.

Good day, aus! That’s a shame re the lack of rides to church. With Christmas being on a Sunday this year, it’d be great if they would provide a van or bus to pick up members of the church or even the community at large so they could join in on the festivities. They could advertise in the newspaper for people to sign up for the ride. Perhaps you could call the pastor’s office and ask him if such a service has been considered.

They got away with it in 2020 and they are planning to get away with it in 2022. I wish that the people who voted against Trump because they don’t like him would realize how much good he was doing for them.

Amen to that! The anti-Trumpers are pushing for Ronna McDaniel to be re-elected head of the RNC. So you know that the anti-Trump contingent are leading the charge to keep our REAL President from getting the 2024 nomination.

Here’s a shocker. Multiple sources reporting that Bob Iger is returning to head up Disney. That doofus they had apparently cost some folks too much money on their Mickey Mouse stock! I don’t care about this jake-let operation and their $200/day amusement park tickets. I’m never going back anyway, and I very rarely watch ESPN, or ABC. But it is funny.
