We can’t fight evil on our own. Today prayer is needed.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Thank you, stella.

We’re seeing it every day…the evil that man does, contemplates and plans for. How on earth did America come to this place of potential destruction perhaps even as close as tomorrow? Most, if not all, folks who come to this blog know that we are at war. It’s just not a shooting war YET.
Could it be that we have not taken the time to put on the armor of God? The armor of God…not our own armor. That’s a key. God puts at our disposal HIS armor. The armor that saves our lives.
All the verses in the excellent illustration Stella provided, need to be read more than once. Maybe that illustration should be placed on our refrigerators or in some prominent place to be read often. In these perilous times, perhaps we need to read it every day and simply do a visualization of putting on each piece. I certainly have the time to do it and must make a better effort to include that as a part of my daily meditation along with the following beautiful prayer attributed to St. Patrick.
ST. PATRICK’S BREASTPLATE
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ in breadth,
Christ in length,
Christ in height,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
I arise today through a mighty strength,
the invocation of the Trinity,
through belief in the Threeness,
through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of creation.
Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of Christ.
May Thy Salvation, O Lord, be ever with us.
Amen.
