“The Mulberry Tree in Autumn” (cir. 1889) By Vincent Van Gogh – Interesting contrast between this painting and the one done in 1885. This thought and photos are from the proprietor of a WordPress blog called The Female Gazers which I ran across when doing a search for paintings with an autumn theme.

Morning Lucille…..I’m a fan of Van Gogh’s work.
Van Gogh checked himself into a mental asylum in 1889….and the two images you posted are, in my opinion, a good example of the differences that ones mental state can have on one’s view of the world…….
Van Gogh was an amazing technical artist as seen in the first painting, but his “artistry” is really evident in the second…..

It’s been rather cool here the last few days and the tomatoes and cantaloupe are toast. Supposed to be in the mid 70’s today, so hopefully, I can get out and clean out all the dead vegetation this afternoon…

Mornin’ Stella. I am sure you have tried all kinds of things, but one my friend and I found that occasionally worked like a miracle. It is called Theraworx. I prefer the one that is a foam. There is also a spray. It doesn’t work on everything, but there are times it is like a miracle. I have put it on and the pain instantly was gone. Worth a try.

And Voltaren, too. It’s a miracle worker for me. You can get it most anywhere. I buy the gel from Walmart.

We use Therawork foam quite a lot. It’s most effective ingredient is Magnesium Sulfate….which is, essentially, Epsom Salt. It does work, and quickly for muscle cramps and soreness.

I’ve tried to deny that fall is truly here, but the summer breezes have given way to the autumn winds and last night I started contemplating that maybe its time to haul out the winter quilts…..it’s kinda hard to hang onto denial at that point. :0)

Mornin’ All. It is cool and foggy here this morning, but the sun is already burning off the fog, exposing a clear blue sky. But, is was a nice morning for a walk. It looks like Florida may get hit by Fiona. It looks bad. My friend is really worried. She is in Central Florida, near Orlando. She has lived in her house for almost 50 years and has been through a lot of hurricanes. She is in her 70’s now and it will be hard on her whatever happens if the storm crosses Florida. Oh, yes, and it has been raining for a week or two and the ground is already saturated. Prayers would be appreciated.
