So, NO is now the murder capital of the nation, and has a crime problem out of control with over 700 too few police officers to manage it, and a mayor who has lost credibility. Also, there is such a problem with trash contractors that the solution was to reduce pick-up from twice or once per week (same charge for the homeowners and same payout to the contractors).
Aaaaannnnnd, the “Juvenile Justice Center” (read lock-up for underage offenders) has been so un-secured that many dangerous inmates have assaulted guards, and frequently escaped into the neighborhood and beyond, most recently put a man into a coma while stealing his car. The answer was to sort them out and send the most dangerous to the old death row at state prison in Angola. This brought out a half dozen protestors, including a psychologist who said this could cause terrible harm to the children (!!!), and now a lawyer has stated it cannot be done under federal law. Meanwhile the neighbors live in fear and the juveniles in the city and nearby parishes run freely about doing whatever they want (some of it murders noted in paragraph one).

Just back from shopping at the local Ace hardware, which is closing and has a 55% off sale. Since I will be closing on the new house next week (crossed fingers) we got a lot of things to do work there, and some cleaning and gardening supplies for my house. Sorry to lose it, but the owner said he is 76 and tired of it, and he’s can’t get anyone to work for him.

Some days I feel invisible. My prior comment was eaten. Union rep hasn’t called back about the abusive manager at work. Can’t get time off from work bc my requests are ignored.
