    Couldn’t stop laughing when I saw this….

…so I asked the Lord if it’s OK to post this on Tuesday. I waited a few minutes. He didn’t say “no.”

Mornin’ All. Evidently it got down into the low 40’s or even 30’s last night. It is breezy and very cool out with a slightly cloudy/sunny sky. Today I must get another box emptied. I got half way through one yesterday, but it was so hard to find places to put the things, it slowed me down. This afternoon I am taking my car back to the tire place for them to check the other three tires for rust around the rims and fix them. I figure that is better than waiting until the tires start getting low. And, they will do this for free. I have had this problem a couple of times in the past so I figure it is a good idea.

Well, here’s wishing you a nice day today. My friend in Florida says they are about to wash away from all the rain. She has lived there all her life and doesn’t remember it ever being this bad.

Good morning, aus! On Saturday, the 17th I got tired of seeing a seldom-used wheeled walker sitting around waiting for anyone available to transport it to a thrift shop. So I decided to put a “free” sign on it and place it on our front lawn which is visible from one of the main cross streets. Other folks have put unwanted items out there and they go quickly.

Walked down to the street on Sunday morning and it was gone. I cleaned up the sign and an empty cardboard box which had contained some of the attachments plus picked up a stray plastic bag and threw the lot away. Mission accomplished!

Perhaps that could be a route for disposing some of your items.

I have used that before. Actually when I left my last apt. I had my son set q lot of things out that were good. Most of them were gone in minute or hours. It is a little different here, they have rules and nothing can be set outside. They will check it and hunt you down. Nice on the one hand because in FL we had a problem with stuff being out on the roadway all the time because some was gone and something new took it’s place, which meant there was always something sitting out. I did take a lot of things to the church rummage sale.

Not being able to put things out is understandable. It does look messy if items stay out there too long.

I actually would have preferred to hold a yard sale in our guest parking lot if I had more items. But such events are too hard on me nowadays and, frankly, I’d rather give something away than selling a $100 item for $10.

Recently I was readying some of my artworks for donation to the animal rescue thrift shop. However a friend saw them and bought them from me. I told him he could have them for free but he wanted to give me something anyway. So that was nice. Of course the difference between what he paid and what they cost was considerable.

I sort of prefer not to know what the thrift shop charges for the items I’ve already donated. A couple years ago I gave them some jewelry and I saw later that they had put a $15 price tag on a dark blue lapis lazuli and deep orange amber three strand necklace. Knowing what I paid for it and seeing someone negotiating for a lower price sort of jangled my nerves…LOL!

We could use more of these contemplations! Shorter than sermons, too.

We have been dry, mostly but still gets to low 90’s in the afternoon. Trees are losing leaves. We don’t get much color change.

It’s 42 degrees this morning and my bones are feelin’ it. Sitting here under an overcast and smoke filled sky listening to the lowing of the cattle in a field at the edge of town and feeling slightly melancholy. Fall is in the air.

It’s supposed to get down into the lower thirties tonight and I’m hoping that the tomatoes and cantaloupe don’t freeze. With so much extreme heat and so little rain, it’s not been a good year for gardens in the area, but I do hope that we have a few more weeks before everything freezes out.

Good morning, litenmaus! It’s 58 degrees out right now in the Idaho Panhandle and the sun is shining. Looks like a perfect day.

The highlight of any day is a grocery delivery and one is expected today. This life of overactivity and frivolity is exhausting and I just may need a nap after same.

I would love to have grocery delivery Lucille, but alas…we’re too rural….I am headed out to “town” for the first time in over a month for the specific task of grocery “shopping” this afternoon and I will admit :0) I’d rather be taking a nap….

That’s the only problem with rural living (and I was mighty rural when residing in Canada–no paved roads). Otherwise, I loved the peace and quiet during the day but night meant coyotes were yipping around when they were heading down to our river or trying to get in the hen house. I couldn’t yell out the window at them because that would wake the family who were used to coyotes; and during the work week that would definitely not have been appreciated…LOL!

LOL…I could yell ’til the cows come home and no one is close enough to hear me….
The coyotes tend to stay away during the summer, but during the winter, I don’t go out after it gets dark…Due to the drought conditions, the deer are already moving in and they’ve been in my yard for the last three weeks so I have a feeling that the coyotes will be coming in long before winter hits this year…

Those poor people on Puerto Rico. They have been wiped out again. Most of them hadn’t even gotten back to normal, I don’t think. I don’t know if they have replaced their criminally inclined politicians yet.

The curtain is slowly being pulled back. Reviewing of previous studies is beginning to expose the sleight-of-hand that was used. Including one on HCQ. This is not 100% exposure, but give people some time, and we’re likely to find out a whole bunch of shenanigans were going on. Not that this bunch didn’t already know it. But it’s gotta start somewhere. Wonder why the libs are losing their minds. This.

Things that make you go hmmmmmm. BP refinery in OH explodes. Facility could produce up to 3.8M gallons of gas,, 1.3M gal/diesel…… Far too many coincidences over the last couple years of critical facilities going up in smoke. Food processing, retail distribution, oil refinery.
