Morning Lucille….The picture of the hand holding the glass is so familiar to me. The property that I live and the surrounding lots were part of what was once one of the largest settlements before statehood. In the early days, there were community halls, saloons and hardware stores built on the property, later there were car sales & repair garages and later still there was a “mobile home” park located on the property.

I make it part of my routine to wander the property after large wind and rainstorms and pick up the glass that appears. To date, I’ve hauled approximately 5 gallons of glass off the property, much of it in the same state as the above pictures.

      Pretty cool stuff….:0)

Good day to you, litenmaus. Looking for “tumbled” glass sounds like a fun pastime. Do you display your finds?

I’d be in heaven in a place like this…Glass Beach, CA (adjacent to MacKerricher State Park and near Fort Bragg)….

Unfortunately it’s illegal to collect the glass there.

    AUGUST 15, 2022 – JUDICIAL WATCH
Biden Justice Department Opposes Judicial Watch Federal Court Request to Unseal Affidavit Behind Unprecedented Raid on Trump Home

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton issued the following statement in response the Biden Justice Department’s opposition to Judicial Watch’s Motion to Unseal:

It seems like the Biden Justice Department is telling the court what to do. Respectfully, the court should make its own independent assessment of the compelling public interest in transparency about this abusive raid.  The ‘criminal investigation’ the Biden administration is covering up reeks of corruption and dishonesty – and is based on a reinvention of law about presidential records that is at odds with the U.S. Constitution, court rulings, federal statutes, and prior government legal positions and practice. No administration should be able to raid the home of a former president and putative presidential candidate based on ‘secret’ reasons.

The U.S. Constitution and federal law give unreviewable authority to President Trump to take whatever records he wishes at the end of his presidency. The Biden administration’s dishonest depiction of personal records of President Trump it illicitly seized during the raid as “classified” is further demonstration that the raid was a brazen act of raw political abuse.

Mornin’ all ya’all! Last dry day (of three) before a front moves in, so I’ve gotta mow the lawn again…..

Bought some insanely delicious peaches at Sam’s. Ate one while leaning over the sink this morning.

A million years ago – when your obgyn did blood tests in his office as a part of your regular exam – I ate a peach on the way to my annual check-up. Got an alarming message warning I may have diabetes (elevated blood sugar). Tested again later, and all was well and has been ever since.
Good luck to your southerners with the rain…all part of it, I guess! 😉

Afternoon czarina….The closest Sam’s is a good four hour drive from me and last week a friend bought me a box of their peaches and brought them to me…I have to agree with you, “insanely good”. I actually think they were as good as the peaches that we used to pick directly from the Orchards in Oregon and I was amazed…Score one for Sam’s produce buyers.

Mornin’ All. Another beautiful Montana day. It was cool enough this morning to need a sweatshirt on. The sun is really beating down, though, so it will be warm this afternoon. I have to make an attempt to get my car registered here today. I understand the lines are very long. You are supposed to do it within 60 days of moving here. Same with your license. Only it says you must “start the procedure to get your license.” Now I understand why. I set up an appt on the Internet and the soonest is Nov. 3. LOL. Well, I guess that is starting the procedure.

Gotta go. Hope you have a nice dry day.

That driver’s license thing happened to me here when I renewed mine. I finally got an appointment two months after it expired.

Well, I went to the DMV to get my car registered and they have about a 2 hr or more wait. But, luckily I asked information about a form to fill out while I waited and found out I didn’t have the paperwork to do it. I had what they listed on the Internet, but they don’t accept that anymore. One thing they asked for was a Montana DL. And, another thing was a bank statement. I haven’t been able to hook up my printer so I can’t use that. She said I could go to the AAA and get an ID or a DL there.

They don’t accept utility bills anymore. Crazy. I also discovered that my passport is expired. I don’t care because I don’t intend to leave the country ever again. But, all this is so frustrating. At least I kept all my paperwork together when I got my DL in Florida. You know, birth cert., marriage license, divorce papers, remarriage license, divorce papers.

Aus, if you’re not going to need a passport in the future, you can save a goodly sum of $$$ at the MT DMV by just requesting the regular MT drivers license. The regular drivers license can’t be used for ID at airlines or for purposes of obtaining a passport, but it’s good for all other identification purposes here in the state and the best part of all is that the MT driver’s license is good for eight years.

Gee! When we moved from Louisiana to Mississippi we just went to the office, handed over the old licenses, paid the fees and got new pictures and licenses!

My DIL called me and helped me hook up my printer. So, I was able to get a copy of my bank statement. So, I am on my way back to AAA.

LOL. By the time I got back home I couldn’t remember what I set out to do today. But, I now have an eye exam (for tomorrow no less, they had a cancellation) and so I have chosen one, and I got my printer working. It just dawned on me that all I needed to do was get a copy of my bank statement and I could get my car registration. So, now I have it. Maybe I will try again on Thursday. I think I will take a nap.

There is something in the water in Washington DC that makes politicians change their goals for America once they get to DC!! The hate that the government agencies, DOJ, CIA, FBI, Congress, all members of Congress hate this country and hate the Cotizens of this country!!! Nothing is done to help or advance the American culture! Everything is to tear down what already has been accomplished!!!

According to several sources, it sure looks like it.

/ Got to wonder if this will dampen Liz’s thoughts for a 2024 presidential run.
