Thanks, weather! The song wasn’t familiar to me, though the story behind it is. Perhaps I heard Lightfoot’s song and don’t remember. 1976 was a year of personal upheaval. So I probably wasn’t into hearing anything sad. Music has always had a big place in my life and has seen me through on many occasions.

The Carter years tested everyone, Lucille. I don’t know whether your problems were relational or medical, but I think we all emerged from the ’70s very different in so many ways. Reagan was a ‘breath’ (but, ultimately, even he couldn’t overcome the already malignant deep state).

Unfortunately, I was divorced many years ago, and my ex died a few years ago too. Nevertheless it is true that I was married 55 years ago today.

Mornin’ All. Very cool here this morning. I took Loki out for her walk and was wearing a sleeveless shirt and it was actually a little too cool or that. Not complaining, just wish I had thrown on a long sleeved shirt. LOL. The pastor of our church came by for a visit yesterday. We had a great long conversation. He stayed about two hours. I was impressed with his sensitivity to the needs of the congregation. One thing I like in his service is that he believes the children should be in church with their parents even if they are acting up. He has a teaching moment with all the children who come up and sit on the steps. And, he never gets upset with a child who is making noise. He has five children of his own, the last one just being about a month old. I talked to him about this winter and the fact that I don’t drive in the snow and my car is a rear wheel drive, so isn’t good anyway. He said this is a lady near me who is happy to bring people with her and she has a 4 wheel drive car. So, I guess that takes care of that. 🙂 Well, back to unpacking. Have a great day.

It was pretty bad Wed., but it got windy yesterday afternoon and cleared up a lot. Of course, closer to the fires the air was terrible.
