Mornin’, Miss Wee. I’m wondering what picture or video will surface that will get the media’s attention. There has to be one.

G’day, Miz Wee! The world over knows the disgusting stuff plus the criminal corruption that’s on Hunter’s laptop and most know that a political double standard exists in the once free and equal United States. Lefties rejoice. I just try every morning not to wake up angry.

I had to turn off Twitter earlier because I couldn’t stand the hateful comments any more.

Yes, most comment sections are free-for-alls. Insults and stupidity galore. Reasonable discourse is practically non-existent.
One time I made an innocuous comment on a YouTube and this guy started harassing me. My moniker was generic but he was assuming that I was a male, perhaps because I was commenting on a sports subject, and was nattering on about my not being a real man. I finally had enough and said, “Listen, buddy, I’m a female.” He actually apologized. Just about floored me.

Mornin’ All. Well, another wonderfully cool morning. Bright sunshine, clear sky, and cool air, what a wonderful combination.
This weekend is my two oldest granddaughters’ birthdays. The second born was born two years and four hours after the first. So they usually have one party with two cakes. I’m not sure when the party is going to be yet. They are young people and so busy it is hard to squeeze everything in. LOL. My oldest asked for books, as usual. She is a voracious reader, so I bought her the Nancy Drew collection. The younger also asked for a book, Biggie!. I don’t know anything about that, but that series is one of her favorites. And, she also asked for doll clothes for her Barbie. Her mother said it is hard to find them that are not skimpy, so I searched until I found a set that wasn’t. I think they will do nicely.
The party may be later today. I don’t drive at night, but right now it isn’t a problem because it doesn’t get dark until 10:30.here. And, Loki will be so happy to visit over there again. She loved it at their house even with all the big dogs. The people here at the apartment complex are getting to know Loki. She goes running up to all of them acting so excited to see them. That seems to delight people.
Well, got things to do (still unpacking) and places to go. Later. Have a great day.

Hi there, mom! It sounds like things are going great for you. My daughter always asked for books for her birthday and Christmas. Choosing new books was a fun thing that we shared.

Mornin’, aus! That’s so great your granddaughters love reading. Hopefully there’s enough modern un-woke writing to purchase. My sis and I loved the Nancy Drew books and the book covers on the old ones. We would go to the local thrift shops and search for the originals. Wish I still had them.
So sweet that Loki has become the apartment complex greeter. What a little princess!
I just sent off my nephew and niece-in law. They both have to be at work on Monday and it’s a long trek back to northern Alberta, ESPECIALLY ON A MOTORCYCLE! Hopefully they won’t try to drive it straight through. Auntie worries!
They took a side trip for a few days down to Elko, Nevada and on the return trip to Idaho yesterday they ran across nearly 30 MILES! of a Mormon cricket invasion all over the hillsides and roads. They had to drive slowly since all the little beasties could easily cause the cycle to slide. At their next gas stop, the attendant said it’s a common occurrence. NO THANK YOU! LOL!
P.S.: In case you’re wondering why they are called Mormon crickets, it’s a traditional story that in the mid-1800s there was a huge invasion of these beasties which were destroying crops. The people prayed they wouldn’t lose everything. Subsequently some seagulls arrived from the Great Salt Lake and saved the day.

I remember that story. I don’t know where I heard it, or when, but I have definitely heard it. That is a pretty scary situation, being on a motorcycle with crickets hitting you. Are they crickets, or grasshoppers? I didn’t know crickets bothered crops.

They aren’t really crickets but I think the people at the time called them that and it stuck. Don’t remember now what their actual species is, maybe a grasshopper or something that looks similar.
My nephew said that when he gets home, he’ll take the motorcycle to a car wash because the little buddies are squished thick on the underside of the cycle. Ugghhhh! I guess now he knows what the old Biblical plagues were like. LOL!

I know a little about that. The love bugs in Florida can cover the windshield completely and even block up the radiator.

We learned about them in school as locusts. We were very impressed the gulls came all the way from the Pacific Ocean, but more likely they were living on the Great Salt Lake nearby.

Yes, the seagulls are still there at the Great Salt Lake as a natural habitat.
One thing I noticed when viewing the live cameras in Alaska where the bears are in the streams when the salmon are trying to swim upstream to lay their eggs. There are seagulls all over the place floating around with the bears which don’t bother them…co-existence. The gulls await any leftovers from the bear snacks.

We have lots of gulls in Michigan, believe it or not. It’s the great lakes.

Gulls are trying to convince everyone that the biggest Great Lakes are actually seas. Photos of ships out on Superior look like they’re on an ocean….

…and a painting found at https://www.lakesuperior.com/the-lake/maritime/sailing-ships-on-lake-superior-the-early-history/ looks the same way…

A lot of the photos I used this week are actually of Lake Superior.

My son and his wife read all the time. The girls have had them as their example. When it is quiet time, they all sit down with a book. It just thrills my heart to see it. Oh, and they don’t have a TV in their house, except in the grandparents section of the house, but they don’t watch it.

Biden is a traitor. He is betraying the whole country in every way. Who, in their right mind would sell our oil reserves to China, but a traitor?
