      Just read this (from Newser?):

      Update: Nancy Pelosi’s husband could spend a little time behind bars under new charges filed after a car crash last month. The Napa County District Attorney’s Office on Thursday charged Paul Pelosi, 82, with driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and driving with .08% blood alcohol level or higher causing injury, per CNN.

      The DA says his level was .082%, reports the AP. If convicted of the misdemeanor charges—which could have been felonies had the other driver been seriously injured—Paul Pelosi faces five years of probation and a minimum of five days in jail.

        And, probably worst of all, he is getting a severe tongue lashing from his witch of a wife. And, I think it may come out that there was a woman in the car with him, and what was she doing at the time of the accident? Hmmmmm,?

    Mornin’ All. 81*, humid and miserable here today. Still packing. I’m just too old and slow to do this fast. I wish I had just gotten a mover to come in and do it. I think it is going to end up just as expensive this way. Later. Enjoy your day.

    Is Senator John Cornyn on Drugs?
    Posted: June 24, 2022 12:01 AM

    Here we stand on the verge of a huge red tsunami in November, and even once-thought impossible seats in places like Colorado and Washington state may be within reach because of the incredible incompetence of Grandpa Badfinger. Everything is set for a massive repudiation of the left by an activated and angry GOP base – supplemented with independents who have had enough of this progressive bullSchiff – and John Cornyn and decides that what the Republican voters want is…

    {drum roll}

    Gun control!

    Ta-da!

      This man has been incompetent ever since he held statewide office in TX. Many moons ago, he was AG and it was the worst run organization I’ve ever seen. I was paying child support and I had to sit in their office for six hours and unwind everything for these people, or they were going to take my drivers license and Insurance license (livelihood) if I couldn’t help them get it straight. He does this every cycle where he reaches across the aisle for about 5 years and the last year before he’s up for reelection he huffs and puffs and gets all MAGA for us. I despise the man. Last go-round I did not vote for him. I won’t vote for his opponent either, but he, like George P. Bush was not going to get a vote from me.

    This…………makes me mad. We don’t need, nor do most people in TX want this stupid “High-speed rail”. It will never make a dime, and takes about 45 minutes less time than if you drive from HOU to DAL. But we have to have one. I think the TX Supreme Court is all R’s. 😦

      Bet it will be “greener” than using fossil fueled cars. Meets the required group-think for the times.

        A major study done indicated that the only way this thing could break even is if their occupancy rate was 110% of the current flying population between DAL and HOU both ways…….pretty much forever. Not gonna happen. Have you seen a train station these days. 😉

    Did you hear the one about the lawyers who won a case at the Supreme Court and were essentially fired from their firm after the verdict? It really happened with the win in the NY concealed carry case. Their firm, Kirkland & Ellis is a big-time, big money firm that has sold their soul. But they were already lawyers, so I’m not sure how that works. 😉
