    Wow, those orange breast feathers on that Macaw would make a great looking Steelhead fly in Erie!

    Mornin’ All. 75* and sunny here. It rained again last night. We only got another 1/4 inch or so. It was stifling hot again yesterday by afternoon. Summer is definitely here. Still working on finding things to take to Goodwill. I might make a trip anyway because the car is so full. Need to get something for breakfast now. Wishing a nice day for you all.

      Hey mom! Here at 5,000 miles west and 33 degrees north of you, we’ve got pretty much the opposite. Right now it is 43* outside, headed for a high of 45*, and cloudy/windy. The snow has dropped back to about a foot deep in the undrifted areas, but is so crusty on top that our 65-pound lab can walk on it without post-holing through. That’s good for her (she’s getting old) but doesn’t bode well for our usual date to be snow-free, cinco de Mayo. That’s only 3 days away. Looks like this year it may be closer to June 1st. Ah well. At least the roads are clear and drying out pretty quickly. I even ventured to get the car washed yesterday, and hoping it will stay clean more than a day or two. We have a mile of dirt road to get to our house, and it trashes a clean car by the second pothole. Mud season is nearly on us.
