Mornin’ All. 70* and sunny here. Still downsizing. I got rid of 5 bags of clothes yesterday. Most of it was things I had gained too much weight for and was hoping I could get back in it. What a dummy!! But, that was a big job done. Well, mostly done. I am sure there are a few things still left that I could get rid of probably. So, I will be working on that as I go along, I guess.

I am suspicious about that shooting in the subway yesterday. Where did that man get all the money he would need to buy that much ammo. From the FIB maybe? Ya gotta wonder.

Mornin’ all! (for some of us, anyway) I’ve been catching up on the Z Blog lately, and finding some very good analysis of many aspects of the current world situation. I recommend all 5 or 6 of his latest pieces. Just read the one on top this morning: https://thezman.com/wordpress/?p=27167 and think it is quite accurate. Here’s his closing:

French political observers suspect this election is signaling the end of the cynical politics ushered in by François Mitterrand. Cynicism is an effective short term strategy in politics, but it eventually runs into the Lincoln limit. That is the old line about fooling all of the people all of the time that is attributed to Lincoln. It was also a popular advertising slogan in the 19th century. This is appropriate given that the cynical politics of this age is basically just a sales campaign organized by fraudsters.

In America, we may be seeing similar signals. The cynical politics of the Clinton machine gave us a degenerate (Clinton), a simpleton (Bush) and a vacuous airhead (Obama) as president, all with the claim that they were accomplished men. If not for Trump the fourth in that series would have been the wife of the degenerate. Now we are being sold a mumbling vegetable as the most popular man in history. Joe Biden may be the limit of the cynical post-Cold War politics.

Hope y’all have a great day.

The world of journalism sure has gotten weird lately. We’re seeing more and more outlets reporting on the dysfunctional Biden Family grift operation, and now this……………Salon exposing the “pundits” getting paid by defense contractors or consultants while spouting their tripe almost nightly.
