    Mornin’ All. Back down to 63* this AM. So it feels a little cool out. But, it is bright and sunny. I am hearing lots of planes this morning. I live fairly close to the local airport, but these sound like military planes. Maybe it is time for the local plane show. I will have to check. This whole border problem is about to explode. I hope they give the National Guard guns and ammo instead of putting them out there to get run over, injured and killed. Hope you have a nice day and stay safe.

    Been working outside in the terrific weather, my yard looks like a park again! Got a haircut scheduled for this afternoon, then will drive by and look at the progress on the house I am buying (investment property). Also, I have a patient at the local hospital, and will come home to GGS visiting for the weekend.

      In other news, it’s snowing here, again. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change… I won’t tell y’all what DH’s first words were this morning. A few *s#//+*%!!! were involved.

    This is an extremely disturbing video but one that all parents of school-aged kids should be aware of. Peer pressure is strong at that age, and they need support and steady guidance from home. (Another compelling reason to home school at any cost.)

        Well, I tried and eliminated all the extra stuff just like I did when I watched it and WordPress or whoever put it back on. Probably best. It is pretty sickening. You may have seen parts of it. The shocking part, and I don’t know why it was, is Pete Buttigeig’s mate speaking in the first part.

          Thanks mom…can’t figure out WP most of the time.
          I remember clearly during school years the pressure to not be different in any way. This must be terribly hard on normal, straight students – especially the ‘don’t tell your parents’ part. They’re preying on the already vulnerable ties between young adults and parents.
          It is painful to watch, but I’m sharing this with everyone I know!

            Yes. That is exactly what is going on. People don’t realize that the someone says to a homeschooler that they need “socialization” this is what is happening with “socialization.” I got criticized because of homeschooling, but I raised a fine upstanding young man who turned into a great husband and wonderful father. I didn’t keep him away from others young people, I just didn’t immerse him in the pool with them.

              When you think about it, it is much more “normal” for kids to be around a variety of people of different ages, rather than in a classroom with only kids his own age.

                EXACTLY! I have always said that. The homeschool families’ children seemed much more well adjusted than most of the school kids I knew. It is sort of funny, too, that when my son was 3 he didn’t like to spend the night away from home. People were saying he needed to get used to it or he would never leave home. He went away to NAPS (Naval Academy Prep School), then the Academy, and then out to sea, just after turning 17. He came back to visit, but never lived at home again.
