Mornin’ Wee, Pa, and all. It was 75* and very humid with a very slight breeze at 7:30 this morning. I had noticed that the air conditioner ran off then on all night and especially this morning. I found out that the little lost doggie is safe with somebody, maybe his owner. The guy who had picked him up and took him to the office didn’t want to share too much info. I bet it is somebody who didn’t register their dog and didn’t want to get caught. I had checked all the lost dog websites yesterday and came up with nothing. But I am going to keep asking. Supposed to storm today. n We’ll see. Hope you all are safe and warm, or if in Florida…….cool.

Mornin’ Wee,mom, weather, and all! Lots and lots of rain all week! Cool blustery spring weather here. I won’t be flyin’ the flag fer a little while. Our freezer date for the area is around the 10th of May. Still too early to sow! I could get away with some root plants (onions etc.) though.

Good morning everybody! It is definitely spring here. The forsythia is in full bloom and the chives are coming up in the patio pots. Breezy, mixed sun/cloud and 50 degrees.

Morning All! 🙂
What a striking pic up top Stella! Sort of reminds me of pics of small boats on the ocean in big waves. Here is one of my favorite paintings “Canyon Green” by Franz Bischoff. Perhaps that amazing scene is hidden somewhere in this mountain range 😉
Boy oh boy Wee would I, and many others I’m sure, like to hear what really goes on at those Musk/twitter meetings!
Glad the pup may be OK Mom, but that is strange you can’t get much info.
Morning Pa – Yup I guess 99% of us need that jolt of caffeine in the AM 😉
Very busy day today & tomorrow morning, so I say Happy Friday as well… and have a great 2 days!
🙂

Good morning. The series of photos this week is called “Small Man, Grand Nature”.

My goodness! It just got really dark almost like night, even though I could see blue sky off in the far distance. Then it started lightning and thundering. Now it is raining. Good, we really need the rain.

Good afternoon everyone.
That looks like really rich soil in the photograph (?).
Auscitizenmom, you’re a sleuth! Glad it’s raining after skipping your area for a while.
I need to check what’s “springing up” in our neighborhood.
It’s such a beautiful time of year.

Do any of you eat lamb? I made braised lamb shanks yesterday. They are delicious, but expensive to buy. I bought them because it is rare to see them at the supermarket around here. The ones I bought are from New Zealand, which I have heard is very mild in flavor when compared to other lamb. I remember my mother saying that she hated mutton, which they ate on their farm. However, my mother didn’t like meat much, other than pork, so there’s that.

I’ve eaten many different proteins, but never lamb or cabrito. Taste like chicken? 😉

I used to have lamb frequently. Both chops and shank. Restaurants used to offer it. I guess it got too expensive, with too few orders.

Without being rude, it appears to be the future of food after it has been digested.
