Make no mistake. It IS all about the politics!
Several states are dropping mask mandates, and the politicians will tell you that it is because the Covid cases are dropping. My opinion is that politicians are following the rising tide among the people against mask mandates, vaccine mandates and vaccination passports. They will say they are following the science, when in truth they are following the votes. To them, politics is everything.
California Governor Gavin Newsom, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Delaware Governor John Carney and Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont on Monday all announced some rollback of indoor masking requirements. California is soon lifting its indoor mask mandate for vaccinated individuals, Delaware will also end its indoor mask mandate, and New Jersey and Connecticut are dropping universal school masking requirements.
Meanwhile government’s media friends are shifting the narrative. CNN’s Covid fear monger, Dr. Leana Wen, has changed her tune. Suddenly, it seems, the science has changed so much that mandates should be dropped, and free choice reign:
Stay tuned as even more of the mandates are dropped. I wonder if, and when, the government in Canada finally feels the winds of change. It’s being felt all over the world.

Oregon too, came out yesterday and stated that they will remove general mask requirements for indoor places no later than March 31. They won’t drop the mask mandates immediately, because their “hospitals are being strained” but by March all should be hunky dory doncha know-besides, the only way they could extend the mask mandate was by legislature and that wouldn’t look good for the upcoming elections.
