Government youth indoctrination – history rhymes?

We have all seen the reports about parents showing up at school board meetings to protest curriculum in their children’s classrooms, from critical race theory to normalization of sexual deviancy.

Many schools/teachers have overstepped their areas of authority. The latest story I saw is about the sixth grade girl who was counseled about her gender transition, told to keep it secret from her parents, and even given a new name by school personnel. My question: Is the girl even transgender, or was she coaxed in that direction by the school counselor? Her mother thinks so.

Washington Examiner

The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and claims that the daughter of Wendell and Maria Perez, a sixth grade student at Paterson Elementary School in Fleming Island, Florida, had adopted a male transgender identity at school with the support of administrators, who hid the girl’s gender dysphoria from her parents.

It was not until the Perezes’ daughter, identified as A.P. in court filings, attempted to commit suicide on school grounds for the second time in as many days that the Perezes were notified about their daughter’s male gender identity, the lawsuit says.

Schools, with the aid of leftist politicians, are attempting to take over the parental role. Of course, that only applies to intervention that is approved by the left. As an example, you may have seen that California politicians are passing legislation that allows children 12 or older to obtain Covid vaccination without parental approval.

USA Today

A bill in California would allow children ages 12 and older to be vaccinated without their parents’ consent.

If passed, the legislation would ensure California has the youngest age of any state when children can make their own decisions about vaccines. Washington, D.C. allows children ages 11 and older to be vaccinated without approval from parents.

California currently allows children ages 12 and older to, without parental consent, get the Human Papillomavirus and Hepatitis B vaccines, along with treatment of sexually transmitted infections and other medical care.

There have also been cases of schools assisting girls to obtain abortions without parental notification.

The teaching of critical race theory has been prominent in news reports lately. Critical Race Theory is not the traditional civil rights movement, which sought to provide equal opportunity and dignity without regard to race.

Critical Race Training In Education

Critical Race Theory, and the training to implement it, is a radical ideology that focuses on race as the key to understanding society, and objectifies people based on race.

An outgrowth of the European Marxist school of critical theory, critical race theory is an academic movement which seeks to link racism, race, and power. Unlike the Civil Rights movement, which sought to work within the structures of American democracy, critical race theorists challenge the very foundations of the liberal order, such as rationalism, constitutional law, and legal reasoning.

Critical race theorists argue that American social life, political structures, and economic systems are founded upon race, which (in their view) is a social construct.

Over the past couple of days I have been watching historical programs available on YouTube about WWII – how it came about, and what happened at various stages before and during the war. These programs, as you would expect, talk a lot about the Nazi party, Adolph Hitler and his thoughts and objectives. I won’t go into the beliefs here, but rather the methods for convincing the German people that what the Nazis did and intended to do were right and good.

They used many methods – including “missionaries” who went door to door to preach the Nazi gospel. Propaganda was central to Nazi Germany and the German Democratic Republic. If you are interested in pursuing this topic, here is one resource: German Propaganda Archive.

Hitler recognized the importance of molding young minds to follow the Nazi way. Hence, the Hitler Youth. Membership in the Hitler Youth had become mandatory in 1936:

The text of this 1940 poster reads: “Youth Serves the Führer. All 10-year-olds into the Hitler Youth.”

Similar methods were endorsed by the Communists, including Joseph Stalin. It is all about the molding of young minds.

I think that there are activities in many public schools to propagandize our children and, while we don’t have a program in this country like the Hitler Youth (at least not yet), the methods used by some teachers and the school curriculum itself smell of social program and political propaganda, dealing with today’s popular leftist topics – abortion, climate change, critical race theory (white man bad), and sexual deviancy (including bisexual, homosexual and transgender).

It is my opinion that sexual “education” really shouldn’t have a place in schools. Ditto “climate change”. History certainly does, and I have no objection to teaching about the history of slavery in the world, including in the United States, and including the fact that slavery still exists in many places in the world.

Leftists would love to have a program like Hitler Youth. Remember when Barack Obama suggested something similar when he was running for President?

Teaching our kids about propaganda and how it was used in the past and today is something we should be teaching at home. History isn’t considered to be “sexy”, but it certainly is instructive!

I believe the only way this propaganda will be stopped is by people pulling their children out of school and home schooling them if they can’t afford private school. Of course, even in private school you have to stay on top of what they are teaching. I don’t want to hear that it can’t be done. I know of all sorts of situations where children were homeschooled. There just has to be a will to do it. One mother ran a health food store and her daughter worked on her schoolwork in the next room. Worked great. There are so many materials now to help. You don’t have to have a teaching background to do it. It can be done.

The only “sex education” that should be happening in schools is in health and biology classes.

With all the other indoctrination happening in our schools, however, I agree with auscitizenmom. Pull the kids out of school. It won’t protect them completely, but at least it isn’t throwing them to the wolves.
