That’s unfair Stella, you know how to excite a steam fanatic! Thank you very much! Don’t know where you get them (photos) but the primo location close to home and heart is the Horseshoe Curve at Altoona, Pa. There’s a book out about “Rails To Pittsburgh” that was one of my faves! Lots and lots of pics locally! Thank you again for those sweet memories I have that’s rekindled!

This is train week! One of my very best friends was also a steam fanatic. I have ridden several in my time. They are quite romantic and attractive. They changed the world, that’s for sure.

I love the Victorian times’ listing of illnesses which could be caused by riding trains: blood boiling, madness, uterus falling out….

Mornin’ y’all!

Mornin’ Wee, in essence I always thought it was a bad cold or flu. When my company forced the mask, I said no way Jose. My options I had were to mask and work or you can leave. I left. HR called and said I either go back to work tomorrow or get fired. Not one that liked getting fired, I used the only other option and that was to retire. That left a bad taste in my mouth! In a way it forced my hand, but also left me free to be rather casual in life. In many ways I like that, so it may well have been a blessing. God has been known to work in mysterious ways! Cold morning here, we’s (?) in the middle single digits! LOL

We’ll be lucky to hit the freezing mark later today./

Same here, Pa. It’s up to 24 now at almost Noon, but the sun is finally burning off the freezing fog so all is well.

Exactly 20* when I got up (Charlottesville, VA). Sunny, plans for 40* this afternoon, then rain and snow Friday overnight to Saturday morning. Still have plenty on the ground from a week ago….

Hard to conceive of another three years of this!! Maybe the mid-terms will provide some relief. I see Wisconsin and now Arizona are inching toward recalling their electors. Presuming this means de-certifying their 2020 results, can we dare to hope?

Probably not much hope of turning over the election, but should put more spotlights on the crooks!

Yep…spotlight our best hope, plus individual states stepping up to control things since SCOTUS is now toast.

Mornin’ All. I couldn’t check in earlier because Loki decided she wanted to sleep on my lap, maybe because it is still really cool, and I couldn’t reach the computer. Ha. They said on the weather news that the temps are going to drop again here. I wonder how much. They said it would be really cold by Sunday. It actually was quite pleasant today. I had my heavy coat on and it was too much. Hope you all are staying warm.

Just heard Dave Rubin talking about it. He recently moved to Miami from California.

Morning Stellar Folk,
Pa, you brought up an interesting point. Business is fighting against its own best interests in forcing good workers out of the workforce. Qualified workers are in short supply. It’s a slavish adherence to policies not in their best interests or those of society.
Shall we do evil that good may come?, is not in God’s playbook. In fact, the response is: God forbid. Yet, that seems to be the guiding rationalization for so much misery.
I’m glad you found a solution that gives you peace as difficult as it was. God can bring good out of bad. Doesn’t mean he causes the bad, and that’s the big difference.
