    After my heart! Steam in the Rockies! Been there, done that! Possibly Colorado or New Mexico, Virginia and Truckee Railway.

      It’s the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge RR out of Durango Colorado. This is the section that runs through Rockwood. It is quite amazing. Riding on the left, you can reach out and touch the rock face. Riding on the right, you can look down on the edge of the cliff
      that is about a foot from the tracks and see to the bottom. Over the last 20 years or so we have put almost all of our relatives from PA on this train and raced them up the valley to the mountains. We would wave goodbye to them in Durango and then race ahead and be waiting at selected spots along the route and wave to them again as the train passed by. By the time we hit the last spot on the route the whole train was waiting to see us and everyone onboard waved as the train passed. As the train pulled into Silverton, we got many “hellos” and lots of laughs.

    Mornin’ all. Still having problems commenting. Have to log in for each one. It really was cold this morning, 44*. I. know that doesn’t impress all of you that are at 32* or even 0*. LOL I could have used my vest under my fleece coat, one that is very very warm when it is 50*. Evidently Loki’s fur coat was warm enough. She didn’t complain at all. And, the sun is out so it will warm up some. It is only 68* in my living room now. But, the sun comes in the sliding glass doors and it will be more like 80* in here this afternoon.

    It is looking more and more likely that I will be making a move this summer. My DIL found an independent living facility that I just love. Of course, I don’t know if they will have an opening when I am ready to move. Plus, it is at the top of what I can pay. But, it is nice to know that a place like that exists. Evidently there are a lot of them in that area. This one just happens to suit me. It is all ground floor and very pretty. Oh, well. It may be a pipe dream.

    Well, stay warm, wherever you are.

    Seems since generations of fam (including my generation) were Masons, including 32nd Degree Masons, makes us Satan worshipers lolol. The things one learns {{{sigh}}}.

      I’ve had that argument with them before. My dad and uncle (godfather) were Masons. My aunt and mother were in Eastern Star and I was a Rainbow Girl. Strange satanists who use Bible verses in their rituals. /s
