Goodness gracious, it is almost 9:00 here and nobody is up? Well, good sleeping in. 🙂 I’m off to start breakfast. I am thinking I will be in danger of developing diabetes if I watch any more Hallmark Christmas movies. LOL. Hope your Sunday if nice.

I’ve been up, made chicken soup, washed the dishes and read yesterday’s paper. I live so far out in the country I cannot get newspaper delivery, so I pick them up when I go into town, meaning most days I’m reading yesterday’s news. Of course, all I really care about is the comics and puzzles…

I’m making turkey stock from the neck and back of my T-day turkey that I tucked into the freezer.

Shall I send you some andouille sausage? Czar always made turkey and andouille gumbo the day after any turkey dinner.

Sounds good, but I plan just to reduce the stock and keep it in small chunks in the freezer to use for future pan sauces and stocks.

Did the broth in the Instant-Pot, pressure cook setting. Smells delicious, and I got quite a lot of meat to feed to the dog and cat. Will cook it down tomorrow to concentrate for freezing.

My brother, who lived in NYC for many years, detailed the way Mario set up for Andrew’s advancement, then Andrew smeared Spitzer to get him out, then pushed Pittman out over Yankees’ tickets, then pressured CNN into hiring Chris. It is so satisfying when they get their comeuppance.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is quietly using a small regional airport in central Texas to disperse large groups of illegal immigrants throughout the U.S. after releasing them from detention facilities in other parts of the state, city and federal sources confirm. Local authorities in the city where this is occurring, Abilene, are being kept in the dark and a federal lawmaker is demanding an end to the “reckless and irresponsible practice” as well as answers from DHS after a series of local news reports exposed the covert operation.
