Never MY favorite Christmas carol (probably because the year I learned it, our children’s church choir seem to always sing slightly flat) it is nevertheless a favorite of many. This is, in my opinion, one of the best versions.

Myn “like” at the top is magically working again. Go figure. I really like this version, too.

I had a friend in high school who sang in the choir. I remember when they were doing a Christmas special. She practiced every chance she got at school. She was completely tone deaf. She never got anywhere near the note, whatever it was. But, I am sure she surpassed everyone in the choir in exuberance. I always figured she drowned out the rest of the choir.

The ones who are most tone deaf seem to sing the loudest.

But she so loved to sing. Nobody would dare say anything.
