    Isn’t this a precious picture? I have some wonderful pictures of my grandchildren in the fall woods around our old cabin. Beautiful pictures and wonderful memories.

    Good morning everyone. Brr. Chilly is morning as we get close to freezing temps this weekend.

    42 years ago yesterday my husband cut off all our three year old son’s wild curls. I was so mad at him that I left his parents’ home walking. I thought that I would soon find a phone booth and call my mother to come get me. There was no phone close, so I wound up walking probably two miles or so to the nearest hospital, the first public place I found.

    At the hospital they tried to put me in a wheelchair because I was pregnant, full term. Took me a minute to convince them that I only needed a phone. Got a ride home, and I didn’t speak to my husband all the rest of the day. At about 10 that night I stood up and my water broke. It absolutely enraged me that I had to speak to him to tell him we had to go to the hospital. So, my middle son was born the next day, 42 years ago.

    And I still have the curls my husband kept for me somewhere. They never came back, and his hair was much straighter after that cut. To be fair, we had cut his hair before, and the almost corkscrew like curls always grew back. Anyhow, the birth of our second son necessitated a truce.

    Stella, thanks for the link yesterday to President Trump’s Mar-a-lago speech last Thursday. Yes, that was the one I was looking for. Great speech! After I listened to it, I was too lazy to log back in again to say thank you. Sorry for that. Any clue how I get the black bar with the bell at the top back, so I don’t have to keep logging in for every comment?
