        Ooh, I love this one. I got to see the desert once, and for a gal from Tennessee who can’t live without mountain in view, I fell in love with the stark beauty of it.

          The 1st time my brother drove through the desert southwest he was in a sandstorm that took the paint off the car in places! BTW it was MY CAR he was driving! On the way back east it was clear, and he also loved it – so different than the mountainous, green Northeast.

          Back in 1974 I had to fly out to San Diego to drive my parents’ 5th wheeler back to Michigan, because dad was sick. Anyway, it was April, and the desert was in bloom! So beautiful. We took the southern route from San Diego to El Paso, then through Dallas, Little Rock, and then north through Missouri and Illinois. One place we stayed in Missouri was in an old woods with beautiful wildflowers. Because it was early in the year, we were the only ones there.

        Have 2 sisters living in the desert. I fell in love at first sight with the Saguaro! There’s more to Arizona than meets the eye!

    A white Maine Coon Cat is one of the most beautiful cats IMHO, but even they must go through that awkward stage 😄
