Stellars…the travelogue is about Greenland this Sunday….
Lutheran Nuuk Cathedral or Church of Our Saviour, Old Nuuk neighborhood of Nuuk, Greenland’s capital…
Greenland is approximately 836,330 sq. mi. and as of September 2021 has a projected population of 56,887. Around 89% are Inuits. The national languages are Greenlandic (related to Inuktitut) and Danish. Religion is majority Christian.

Because it is rare to see a polar bear in some communities, they are highly prized hunting trophies…
Tasiilaq, a town on the southeastern side of the island, has a population of 1,985…

Way back when, Greenland was named that to attract people. Iceland was named that to repel people. Strange, eh??? Here’s a real nice tune by Judy Collins.

Morning Wee. Wonder who he was yelling at yesterday at the Memorial Service when he took of the mask to do it? Makes a great, reverent, respectful picture, him yelling in the midst of the service.

Mornin’ all. Our Favorite Sunday Columnist highlights much of the stupid rampaging through our Country. Also references a book that highlights how things started out in Afghanistan………..it started much better than it ended. Grab some coffee.

Thanks, texan! In keeping with Clarice’s excellent article, let’s refresh our understanding of American Exceptionalism. People need to know what it is and it certainly isn’t what the powers-that-be say it is. Let’s pass that truth on to those who misstate and misunderstand it.

A rebuttal to all of the ‘Unity’ talk from yesterday. I’m more in tune with her summation, rather than the pinheads yammerin’ on the TV.

I didn’t watch any of that. Not going to watch people who hate America trying to pretend they gave a crap about 9/11 and the people we lost.

Happy Sunday everyone. Here’s a change of pace for us, a cleanse your palate kind of thing. Some really neat, really weird animals exist in our world. I enjoyed this one.

Mornin’ All. It is still 79*, overcast, and almost cool, well, sorta cool, Florida cool. I finally got the drawer opened. My neighbors had gone off for the weekend. So, I got on the interwebs and checked for different types of stops in drawers. I was working at it from the back when it is in the front. Got it open. Finally. A pleasant day to you all.

Mornin’, aus! Glad you were successful on the drawer. Honestly, though, there’s a comedy routine in there somewhere. Get out your writing tablet and get started!

I can’t believe that the White House actually published this on their website. It only demonstrates how far gone that Biden is now.

Those are relatively long answers to the questions. Unusual for Joe. After reading the entire post, I can see that he was trying in an enfeebled way to tie everything together into a theme.
Perhaps it was a speech written for him to memorize as well as he could and his handlers gave the reporter the question, “Mr. President, what is going through your mind today, sir?”, to trigger everything. I can’t see that his handlers would have been comfortable having him make any remarks at all had they not prepped him thoroughly. They don’t let him speak much at press conferences.
And remember that they planned the September 11th memorial tour for him long before the debacle unfolded on the last few days of the Afghanistan-retreat-and-giveaway show. So I definitely believe his remarks were scripted but made to look like it was some sort of thoroughly-Biden off-the-cuff happening. Perhaps the reference to the signs expressing disdain was the only spontaneous bit in the whole thing.

Must see: Lara Logan just messaged
Lara says it best: Distilled — “Why do we not have an emergency presser or demand of the Biden admin to state publicly if it stands w terrorist vs standing with democratically elected leader of the country and the govt forces we trained? And why are we saying nothing about the assets being transferred to terrorists? About breaking the law? About sharing intelligence/nat assets w terrorists? We now know that 17 of the 33 Taliban Emirate members are on the UN sanctions list for terrorism AS WELL as the Haqqanis. How can we turn to terrorists to help us secure the airport? And then blame the attack on another terrorist group who used to be Taliban before then? How can we hand over sensitive intel systems to our enemies/terrorists and not have urgent security concerns raised?”

Separately, Sam Faddis tells me genocide unfolding in Panjshir. Lara and others warned about this.

Good column by Byron York: George W. Bush’s dreadful 9/11 speech
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/george-w-bushs-dreadful-9-11-speech
Excerpt:
But in Shanksville, Bush spoke as if there had been a period of post-9/11 unity that lasted until somehow, mysteriously, the unity disappeared and gave way to today’s poisoned politics.
Bush’s second jaw-dropper was his oblique comparison of the 19 terrorists who hijacked four commercial jetliners on 9/11 with the rioters who descended on the Capitol on Jan. 6. Speaking of 9/11, Bush said, “Many Americans struggled to understand why an enemy would hate us with such zeal.” Then:
And we have seen growing evidence that the dangers to our country can come not only across borders, but from violence that gathers within. There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home. But in their disdain for pluralism, in their disregard for human life, in their determination to defile national symbols, they are children of the same foul spirit. And it is our continuing duty to confront them.
Bush did not explicitly say so, but he appeared to be referencing Jan. 6. And he used the rhetorical trick of denying that there was “cultural overlap” between the 9/11 terrorists and the Jan. 6 rioters before outlining areas of such overlap. They were similar in their “disdain for pluralism,” Bush said, their “disregard for human life,” and their “determination to defile national symbols.” In these, Bush argued, not only was there cultural overlap between the two groups — they actually came from “the same foul spirit.”
With that, Bush joined a group of commentators, mostly but not entirely on the left, who maintain that 9/11 and 1/6 are similar. And they do so in the face of the obvious, enormous differences between the two. The Sept. 11 attacks killed roughly 3,000 people, brought down New York’s tallest skyscrapers, destroyed part of the Pentagon, crashed four passenger jetliners, resulted in two wars, and changed U.S. foreign policy for decades. The Jan. 6 riot led to the natural-causes death of one Capitol Police officer, the shooting death of one rioter at the hands of police, the “acute amphetamine intoxication” death of another rioter, and the natural-causes deaths of two more. Had the 9/11 attackers survived, they would have been charged with mass murder. Most of the Jan. 6 rioters have been charged with “Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building.” Parts of the Capitol were ransacked, but not seriously enough that Congress could not meet and finish its election certification work on the night of the riot. The riot was appalling, and the participants deserve punishment, but it was simply nothing like Sept. 11. To visualize the difference, imagine that on the night of the 9/11 attacks, there was a convention that went on as scheduled at the World Trade Center.

The fact that Bush was the only one to speak tells me that he was set up as the REPUBLICAN to denounce Trump and his voters. Now the media can quote him as a REPUBLICAN President who rightly opposes the white supremacists who want to overthrow our democratic form of government.
