These remind me of the time we camped in the high desert in S. CA and I crawled out of the tent one morning to a pink sky, pink mountains off in the distance, pink sand with a smattering of snow on it, Everything was pink and I just stood there and took it all in until it was gone.

Good morning Lucille. I’ve never lived anywhere that I couldn’t see the mountains around us. Now I live with one practically rising up right beside my home. Mountains are almost like air to me, I think I need them to live.

They were a novelty to me, since I grew up in the swamps of Miami. But we had relatives who lived in Wyoming, California, the Smokies, etc., so I saw them once a year on vacation. Living on the side of the Unitas in Utah for three years was amazing.

Good morning, Menagerie! There are mountains in the distance, but outside my window I can see only hills. Some lucky family has a lovely home on the side of the rather steep hill nearest me. No one is even near them. They have their own road winding up from the access street and the gate has private property signs. It looks beautiful at night seeing their lights against the darkness.

This is going to end him, but aside from the horror he is perpetrating, the tragedy of it, it won’t be good for us. It is all part of a plan. But will their plan backfire? Have liberals finally overreached? I’m afraid I am still skeptical. But hopeful.

Couldn’t find any corroboration. But the following is one of the many outrages happening in Kabul and surrounding areas today thanks to the demented Biden and his handlers. They are sure accomplishing their goal of shaming America and destroying her reputation in the world…

Taliban 2.0: ‘Special Forces’ Unit Patrolling Streets of Kabul Wear US Military Uniforms and Left Behind Body Armor
By Julian Conradson – Published August 21, 2021 at 7:23am

Meanwhile, up to 40,000 American citizens are trapped in the country with no assistance from Biden or the State Department, who told US troops not to join British teams as they go into the city to rescue their citizens that are trapped behind Taliban checkpoints.

It makes me want to scream. And where the H are our Republican congresspeople? Why aren’t they en masse rising up to demand Biden’s impeachment or resignation.

Mornin’ All. Weather…..same. Woke up this morning to more bad news. I really feel for those families whose loved ones are caught up in that mess in Afganistan. That is not where my son is, but I am still worried about him. He is supposed to be on a plane out of the MidEast today. I don’t expect to hear until tomorrow night. It will be a long two days.

Yesterday I went to Gulfport for the hearing about the abusive ex boyfriend of my tenant (Czar’s daughter in law) re his destruction of the a/c unit and back door at the house last April. Seems courts want to avoid trials since they are expensive, so they negotiate sentences. He got a year of probation, pay a fine of $1500 and restitution for the damage to the court (she will pick the money up from the court), and he must attend anger classes. The kicker is if he breaks any law during the year, even a traffic ticket, he has agreed he will be jailed for 6 months.

My fear, of course, is that he will again violate the protective order (which he has done again and again) and hurt or kill her. He seems to come unglued about every 2 months: 2 weeks ago, he showed up on her back porch at midnight naked.

Wow, I scope that he sees this as the time to end his abuse and leave her alone. So many sick, mean people out there.

Honestly, they want a person with a severe personality disorder to take anger-management classes? How stupid! The courts, judges, social workers have failed both the woman and her ex-boyfriend. It’s obvious that he’s not just your average guy with a bad temper.

It is impossible to reason with an untreated PD sufferer That’s why they should be placed in a mental facility, forced to take their meds, learn coping skills, and remain in the facility until they have actually come to grips with what their skewed mind can conjure up. Allowing those with mental conditions which make them prone to violence should be required to remain in facility. Against their rights? To heck with that. Otherwise someone could easily end up dead. It’s like allowing a 2-year-old access to firearms.

The trend started in the 60s to allow the mentally ill to roam the streets. Soon they began to live on the streets 24/7 and refusing help. We continue to reap what the SJWs have sown.

Well, I have good news. My son got on the plane and when they stopped at a Naval base outside of the Mid East he messaged me to let me know he was on his way. I think there is one more stop and then the next one will be in the USA. To be honest, he was always in a safe situation, so I can’t imagine the torment the families of the servicemen who are in Afganistan now are going through. I mean, everything this admin has done has been the opposite of what needed to be done. On purpose.

I just realized, I have been so worried about my son that I hadn’t paid attention to the hurricane which will go right across MA. Of course, my DIL and granddaughters are in the N.W. corner, so shouldn’t be in danger unless there are tornadoes.

Yep. But, I feel better about my son and I think his wife will be all right where they are. I saw that the Atlantic is about 85*, but much cooler up near MA. It won’t be like down here in the South I don’t think. And, they are far enough away from the ocean and not near any water, I don’t think. But, I do plan on worrying either way. 😯
