        LOL! He’s awaitin’ on ya.

It’s estimated that there are 480 million stray and feral cats in the world. Dear little buddies. Some places it’s traditional to take care of them foodwise like in Turkey and Japan. But it’s a hard life, especially if they are competing for food with other wild animals in wooded areas near cities. In the U.S. there are groups which capture then spay and neuter and ofttimes give shots to cats in feral communities which helps keep the population down.

My little boy, Gee, has one ear tip lobbed which is a sign he was feral, then captured and released. That was obvious when I finally got him to trust me enough to venture into the apartment with food enticements and then quickly closed the patio door. He went ballistic and, after shredding the door curtains, hid under the couch. I was able to get him out, though he bit me, and put him in the guest bathroom where I had a kitty litter box set up plus a blanket put down for him to sleep on. After over seven years he’s still afraid of most people including my relatives whom I lived with for nearly a year. Certain people he loves, though. It’s something about their voices he finds comforting and he’s actually let them touch him. But he’s my little buddy and such fun to watch him play or roll over to let me rub his tummy.
