Happy Animal Fence Friday….
Perhaps these four have been doing a bit of chewing on that fence…
Dormant Volcano Maunakea Sheep Surround…
Central Oklahoma…can’t say what the cow viewed thru the fence on the left is doing…looks to me like a Highland Fling with one hoof up in the air…LOL…
Perhaps this guy is dreaming of the cute little Holstein flinging her hoof around…
The fence and the boundary line are the symbols of the spirit of justice. They set the limits upon each man’s interest to prevent one from taking advantage of the other.

Jimmy Moos: Inventors make hoof-saving boots for cows
By ALEX WEST – 6th April 2016
TWO British men have made the world’s first hybrid shoes – FOR COWS. Mike Brimble and Robert Todd have created award-winning fluorescent cow shoes to prevent lameness in dairy cows.

Who even knew they needed hoof savers…?…

Our neighbors paid around $9k each for their bulls. You see half a dozen bulls in a pasture…there’s a lot of the rancher’s capital just lounging around and munching grass on their time off. 🙂

“Here, here! No, no! Don’t go, no!” cried the 5-year-old boy. A viral video captured last Thursday showed the boy dropped off on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande, abandoned in the desert with nothing but a teddy bear.

Mornin’ Wee, Lucille, and everyone who shows up later. Hot, humid, sunny, yada, yada, yada. My poor friend is just hysterical over her little doggie’s scratching. It has been a problem for a while, but in the last two or three weeks it has gotten 10 times worse. A week ago she chewed a hole in her back and had blood covering a hand sized spot on her back. So, she was fitted with the cone and that helped a little, but if it is taken off even for a little while she starts scratching and chewing again. The vet said to give her some Benadryl and that worked well, so I figure it is probably an allergy. Now, to what? Poor thing. I suggested she change her food from chicken to maybe lamb. And, take away ALL her treats. Oh, and evidently the flea stuff she has been putting on her isn’t working. Sad for the little doggie.

I have been trying to get her to stop giving so many treats to the doggie and so has the vet. This might finally do it.

Does sound like an autoimmune condition, which can be caused by years of the wrong food. Can be very, very serious – even life threatening. Killing with kindness. We recently learned that a dog’s diet should contain little to no fat. Just high quality kibbles is all they really need. Hope that doggie can find an effective treatment.

She did research and chose what seems to be a good dog food. However, she always told me she didn’t give her many treats, but I finally figured out her “not many” was too much. She also let her eat the remains of her food which I know is not a good idea.

Maybe she could switch from treats to “treats” like baby carrots or apple wedges; find something her dog likes. Every one of my dogs has loved them.

Good suggestion. But, I will have to make sure she understands those “treats” can’t be the junk food that we often eat, and that she likes. LOL

Has to be something that is healthy and low calorie – and crunchy! I knew you would understand that, but she might not.
Tucker likes almost anything crunchy, or sweet, like bananas and oranges. Bell peppers give him the runs, so those are out for us. Of course dogs can’t have onions.

I can’t give Loki anything to big or crunchy………..no molars to chew with.

Try the banana! I give Tucker a little bit when I eat a banana every morning before I take my pills. (A habit I picked up from my mother)

Mornin’ mom. Good suggestions about the dog. That is what my vet says too about changing the food. Also, if she is giving a food with grain, switch to a grain-free food.

That was one thing she made sure wasn’t in the food she chose. However, the treats were probably full of it.

I know that I give Tucker an occasional Milk Bone, and they have grains in them. Milk Bone does now have a grain free version.

Yeah. Well, I figure that was part of the problem, too many milk bones, etc. I finally counted. LOL

When our dobe-setter mix developed mad itching Czar started making chicken and rice and veggie stew for him. Eventually we took the dog to an allergist who tested and made serum shots especially for him, just like they do for people. Eventually he did ok and went back to eating normal dog foods.

Good morning, aus! We’re at a lovely 72 degrees right now heading toward 82. Doable! Would be a great day to drive around one of our beautiful regional North Idaho lakes, of which there are 55….
Hayden Lake…
Hayden Lake is 3,800 acres. At 24.5 miles, it takes an hour to drive around it. You can see the Eurasian watermilfoil which is an invasive plant species which ruins lake habitats in North America.

What a good dad. And, what a darling little girl. They had her on FOX and FRIENDs yesterday, I think and she didn’t have much to say. They are in California, so it was probably 4:00 AM where they are and she was pretty quiet. Understandable.

That is so refreshing, Lucille. Saw it yesterday on a Rumble video followed by an absolutely EXCELLENT description of and commentary on Critical Race Theory by Prager University:

G’Afternoon Stella, All.
Needing some info/opinion/advice, and there are few (none?) whose opinions I trust.
Btw, WP is playing games w/me today even though I did log in, so, Expect The Unexpected {{groan}}
Last night Eric Bolling sat in for Rob Schmitt (NewsMax) and interviewed George P Bush.
Bolling showed a clip of Pres T giving George P some attention at a rally, and remarked Don Jr & George P are friends.
About 3 min in, George P announces he is running for TX AG against Ken Paxton, and proceeds to slime AG Paxton with allegations currently being made against AG Paxton, including accusations of incompetence.
My first reaction was “well you little creep, just like a Bush,” instead of supporting his AG George P acts like a Bush (wanna bet Karl Rove planted those stories about AG Paxton?).
Or am I mistaken? Is AG Paxton not the guy I thought him to be?
Here is the vid. A little long at 7:41.

Thanks, and have the Most Blessed of Days.

I saw a little of that. My own personal opinion (for what it is worth) is that when I hear of someone, any Republican, being attacked with allegations like this is that it is a political hit job. In the last few years I can’t even remember the number of Congressmen who have been attacked only to find out it was just a political hit job and it is just dropped when no longer needed. Truth is, whether I am right or wrong, I trust Paxton much more than I can trust Bush.

Before watching, my initial reaction is to agree with you. Bush will have to do a lot more to prove to me that he isn’t just another “Bushie”. And Karl Rove is their buddy.

Thank you all for the answers. Having recognized my reactions are always a bit naive` it is best that I ask.
Bannon actually brought this up today as well, and agreed with you all, plus my initial reaction, and Bannon is (very) often incorrect.
Apologies for not “liking” the replies. WP apparently has removed that privilege from me. Again. {{sigh}}

I can think of nothing in use in modern homes, offices, or in any profession anywhere that is not connected in some manner to the oil and gas industry even if it is merely the method of transport to the consumer.
Folks like North Face execs think virtue signaling is going to benefit their bottom line. How stupid can they get? I’d wager this is just the beginning of how thoroughly they can show their ignorance and stupidity.
