Wonderful quote! Just about everything Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote is quotable. I discovered him via my church’s Sunday School college-age class and still have well-worn paperbacks of the books which had been released in English at the time. THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP is a very humbling book, as is reading of Bonhoeffer’s life/death.
A remarkable human being. The great thing is…we will be seeing him again.

Good overview article. Thanks! Bonhoeffer is appreciated by both those who have studied theology and those who haven’t. He writes to be understood but also to challenge.
This is one of my favorites of his writings…very touching….
