The delusion is strong with this one.

Some years ago, I thought George Will was a fine conservative. His frequent diatribes against Trump soon convinced me that he is just another swamp dweller, stuck on himself and worried he’d lose his invitations to all the “A” list parties if Trump got in. I no longer read anything by Mr. Will, and never will.

I, too, thought George Will a fine conservative, and was terribly pleased when Will went to Fox after ABC canned him.
But then Donald Trump came along, revealing Will’s true smugnorance.
And, of course, then there was Bill O’Reilly who had known then-Candidate Trump for years, and knew Will’s smugnorant observations toward then-Candidate Trump to be false.
Then-Candidate Trump is now “former” (for now) President Trump, Bill O’Reilly is back on radio 5x/week (WABC) and guest appearances on Glen Beck/Mark Levin’s tv channel, and Will?
Heard rumors, unconfirmed, Will writes fiction now for some rich guy who enjoys being entertained.

Will was one of the original “Never Trumpers”. I will admit that I avoided calling him a Swamp Creature or Republican Establishment.

During the GWBush Administration I read Will on occasion and appreciated his POV. Viewing him, though, was a bit much since he seemed so enamored of himself. Frankly, he and his writings became unimportant. He’s never gotten over the fact that people simply moved on. His mean-spiritedness serves no one except the America-haters.

Kathleen Parker called George Will a “pseudo-intellectual”. I always considered him to be out of touch with the subjects he wrote about.
