Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord. May the soul of your faithful departed, and all the faithful departed, rest in peace.

Stella, I get a video unavailable when I try to play it.

Knew you would have this Stella. Thank you.
Weird seeing that glorious church so empty.
Odd also to see Harry walking behind William, not beside. Hmmm…..

I had read that they wouldn’t walk together. Also read William chose not to wear his uniform because Harry couldn’t. Don’t know at all whether that’s true. If you stumble into the rabbit hole of royal watchers and admirers on Quora you find hundreds of people who make comments as if they have intimate knowledge of the royals, not only their actions, but also their thoughts. Since I’ve long been unable to understand many of the motivations of even close family unless they outright tell me, I don’t believe a danged bit of it.

I have a question, and it is mere curiosity, not in any way meant as criticism or condemnation of the funeral, which I believe was beautiful and appropriate. I wonder if people are able to have a funeral in England now, regular people, in a church with family and friends in attendance. I do not know.

I have read many accounts of two recent interventions by police in Holy Week services in Catholic services there.

I watched the funeral on the news this morning. It was done to Prince Philip’s satisfaction. I have always had a lot of respect for the man. Today I wondered what would have happened if he would have had a chance to be a King, not necessarily the UK, or had been able to finish his Naval Career. Philip had ability & potential.

Actually, Phillip would have been king – of Greece.
Phillip’s father was the King of Greece, a member of the Danish Royal family.
Phillips father was deposed in a coup, shortly after Phillip was born, and the family went into exile.

Look it up, it’s a great read, but so sorry for Phillip.
      If only
