Your favorite Bible verse?

I saw this tweet today, and thought it would be interesting to ask you what is YOUR favorite Bible verse.

I’m not sure that I can choose just one, but this comes immediately to mind:

Psalm 121:1-2

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

    Hard to pick a ‘favorite’, but the following verse is definitely one of them.

    ‘Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.’ – Isaiah 41:10(KJV)

    Revelation 21:3-4 KJV
    3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

    4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

    My two favorites are:John 3:16
    King James Version
    16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    and: the 23 Psalm

    The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
    3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
    4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
    5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
    6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

    All of these would be on my favorites list, along with Psalm 100:

    Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

    Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

    Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

    Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

    For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

    It is not a Catholic Bible, but I just love the language of the King James Version. The closest I have found among the Catholic Bibles is the Douhey-Rheims, but it doesn’t have the flowing beauty of the language of the KJV.

    Stella, is there a typo in the last line of Psalm 121? …for “every” more?

    Then there is Ephesians 6:10-18 –

    10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

    11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

    12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    This one is read at the beginning of Midnight Mass and I love it so.

    Is 9:1-6
