Fantastic Northern Lights! I wish I got to see them more often; they are a rare occasion in my part of Alaska. Next winter I’m taking a trip up to Fairbanks for a few days to really enjoy them. Trip’s already booked (nothing available for this year)!

Idaho Senate Committee Passes Bill Banning Abortions When Unborn Baby’s Heart Starts Beating
By MICAIAH BILGER February 15, 2021 | 7:27PM BOISE, IDAHO
The Lewiston Tribune reports the bill would take effect only if a court in the U.S. upholds another heartbeat law.
A number of states have passed heartbeat laws in recent years, but all have been banned from enforcing them due to legal challenges by abortion activist groups. States with heartbeat laws include Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio and Tennessee.

Good morning Lucille! I am currently posting a book in pieces over on the Open Thread called Scenes Beyond the Grave. Starting tomorrow, Chapter 10, is the chapter that always makes me cry whenever I read it. It explains how Heaven puts aborted babies back together, piece by piece in harmony and love. Knowing how aborted babies are treated and handled with heavenly love makes dealing with this ugly issue down here on earth a little easier. I just don’t understand, and probably never, will how humans can discard their own flesh and blood. 😭

Good morning, Stevie! Yes, it is difficult to understand how humans can discard their own flesh and blood. Years ago a phrase was coined regarding neglected and abused children who often end up in juvenile detention facilities–“throw-away children.” While that problem still exists within our society, today’s throw-away children include those who experience the ultimate abuse–death via abortion.
No matter how much abortion advocates try to make people think otherwise, underneath their abortion rights philosophy is a distinct and cynical lack of love for the most vulnerable among us. The people within that murderous industry are well paid to disparage pro-life advocates and making us into the bad guys. It was sickening listening to a portion of the Hillary-Nancy dialogue the other day regarding the “Constitutional” right to abort a child. Their conclusion was that they are the ones who care about mothers and babies as indicated by all the grandchildren they have!!! Supposedly we don’t care at all. What libel!
Our consolation is that these little ones are precious souls to God and they will be with Him forever.

GOP Ranking Members Demand Pelosi Explain Why She Refuses to Turn Over Documents on US Capitol Security and Why She Delayed National Guard Response for One Hour During Siege
By Jim Hoft – Published February 15, 2021 at 1:40pm
On Monday Republican Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH), Devin Nunes (R-CA), Rodney Davis (R-IL) and James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi on her failure to protect the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

I missed this video from Tucker Carlson on February 11th. In case you also missed the report, it is well worth your time to view…

I did know these details, but I know that not everyone does. Even CNN and the NYT have backed off on the early story that the police office was hit with a fire extinguisher, and it seems he may have died of a stroke, unrelated to anything that happened during the “riot”.

How likely is it that Nancy–who conspired to have the poor man’s body lie in state during the Impeachment trial so as to indicate President Trump murdered him via his words to his murderous cult followers–will ever apologize to the American people or even to the man’s family?

Good morning all. Cold here, it’s 23 right now and getting down to 21 by sunrise. Schools are closed. Used to be there had to be enough snow to really cause danger before they would cancel school when I was a kid. Then the number of inches threshold decreased until it just had to be a dusting. Now cold weather does it, been that way for a couple of years.
Was it here one of you posted a link to an article written by a psychologist or psychiatrist about the effect of our reactions to the pandemic on kids? He said in our fear, masking paranoia for something that has a 99.5% survival rate, our seclusion, elimination of human contact, and our denying the kids school and play we are teaching them that the world is a threatening place and they can never have safety or security. At a time in their lives when they will be forever imprinted, we are teaching them the world is mostly to be feared, the opposite of what parents traditionally have tried to teach their kids.
I fear what the outcome will be for these poor kids in 20 years.

Morning everyone! Another day of work called off! -8 this morning and expecting our second snow storm this evening. My boss said it looks like nobody will be working this week! We also got our notices that we too will have rolling blackouts…unheard of in OK…the state of extreme temperatures LOL!

Mornin’ All. Grey, humid, coolish, and a little rainy here today. It is supposed to rain most of the day. Last night we had several storms come through with a lot of lightening. I think these rolling blackouts need to be looked into. Tucker Carlson talked about them last night. In Texas, it is because of switching over to green energy. The windmills froze up and didn’t work. And, now people could die from the cold. There is probably a lot of that in other places, too. Stay warm.

:0) Hey Menagerie, we seem to have compatible temperatures this morning. It is 17 above this morning and it has snowed just enough to cover my front walk [that I shoveled just yesterday – my timing seems to be impeccable].

You are not kidding Tundra. Those two temperatures represent the difference between being frigid and just being extremely cold. Big distinction, big difference. :0)

Mornin’ WeeWeed! Look like we got another 8 inches over night. Guessing, since there is about 14″ total on my patio furniture.

So, here it is, NOT MARDI GRAS in NO. Instead, they are having Yardi Gras, with House Floats, porch parties, and WWNO playing appropriate music all day on the radio. One of the local TV stations, WWL or WDSU, will have coverage by going from decorated house to house on St. Charles Ave. from 10 a.m. CST. Tundra, Stevie and Angel, and anyone else who wants to spend a fun few hours, here is your chance to re-live your time there.

A balmy 12 degrees right now in our part of Indiana. Hubby used the tractor to clear the long drive and I dug out his car. The sun is shining and it doesn’t feel nearly as cold as the thermometer indicates. It’s a beautiful morning with loads of powdery stuff all around. Our dog is having a blast and the kitties are content inside, pleased to be spared the white fluffy stuff.
It’s nice to have internet again. It was out for about 48 hours. It’s amazing how much I use it and boy, did I miss it.

Just got power on in HOU about an hour ago. 33 hours, down to 9*, and got to 50* in the house. Not sure how long it’s going to last, as the state is doing some rolling black-outs with temps still well below normal. Last I heard about 12% of our power is supposed to be generated by those stupid giant bird-killing windmills, but guess what………..they froze up. Along with the windmills, we don’t have a fully built-out NG infrastructure either. Not sure which one of our R guv’s was responsible for that “oversight”, but it makes for a bit of an inconvenience when the electricity stops. We’re fortunate, believe it or not, because we have our own, self-contained electric grid where another state cannot “buy” our electricity, but hopefully the clowns in Austin right now (state legislature) are reminded that we aren’t quite where we need to be. Mrs. T still has no agua at el Gordito, but she did have power. She’s gonna have to go all Laura Ingalls and haul water from the creek soon. But we’re dry, warming up and have cerveza if needed. 😉

Sounds like things are improving! We are cold and got lots of snow here, but we also never lost electricity. Of course, this kind of weather is normal for February in our part of the woods.

I talked to my Dad this morning, who lives just outside of Indianapolis, and it was warmer at his house than at mine in HOU. That doesn’t happen very often. Luckily, I have a small supply of winter clothes that fit. Some thermal long-johns, ski gloves and warm hats, so I got under some quilts and slept it out! Or off. 😉

Perhaps the perks from accepting the Climate Nazi’s largess were just too good to pass up.

It could be a tad uncomfortable for young Mr. Kinzinger at the family reunion this summer. Apparently some of his own family are none too proud of him. As they point out in a letter, that somehow got into the hands of the “Fishwrapper of Record”.
