I’m sure I’m not the only one frustrated with the one-sidedness! Why is it that only the good guys get attacked? Because good moral people don’t go out and take the law into their own hands. But then we are attacked because of our morals! Where does this end? Is there any arm of the law that is left to defend the innocent, the persecuted, the Christian, the legal migrants, the unborn, the elderly, etc? Or, is there no law left in the land of the United States of America to uphold our treasured Constitution, Bill of Rights?

The answer to why is that when someone on the right is attacked, the repercussions for the attack are usually non-existent. The victim is the one harassed by the media, elected officials and the DOJ.
When someone on the left is attacked or claimed to be attacked as in the Smollett case, the full force of law enforcement, the DOJ and the dem elected officials get in lock step and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone they deem guilty.
The victim, even if they aren’t one, is deified.
It’s the function of a two-tiered legal system and it’s got to stop.

Good morning, WeeWeed! Perfect comment from Dinesh. McConnell is a corrupt game player and probably one of the best at it in U.S. history. With his ties to China, I wonder how much info on all our travel systems “Barzini’s” wifey sent to the CCP.
They will never be answerable to anyone here on earth. The next life is something else altogether.

Mornin WeeWeed and all Stellars from below zero, windy, snowing Oklahoma. Looks like the majority of the USA is in the deep freeze. I am grateful to have a roof over my head, a warm house, plenty of food, and good friends I can connect with online. My central heat/air system is only 2 years old, but it is working overtime. Shudder to think what my next electric bill will be.

Good morning everyone. Iβm posting another commentary on todayβs gospel reading by Bishop Barron. He returns to a frequent theme, right praise.
I might be indulging myself a little too much before Lent begins. π·
SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
MARK 1:40-45
Friends, our Gospel today gives us one of the great scenes of Jesus healing a leper. And as is usually the case, it becomes an icon of the spiritual life in general.
Once in the Lordβs presence, the leper knelt down and begged him. The suffering man realizes who Jesus is: not one prophet among many but the incarnation of the God of Israel, the only one before whom worship is the appropriate attitude.
In our sickness, our weakness, our shame, our sin, our oddnessβlots of us feel like this leper. We feel as though weβre just not worthy. Whatever trouble we are in, we have to come to Jesus in the attitude of worship. He is the Lord and weβre not. This is the key step in getting our lives in order: right praise.
Consider the leperβs beautiful plea, essential in any act of petitionary prayer: “If you wish, you can make me clean.” He is not demanding; he is acknowledging the lordship of Jesus, his sovereignty. “Thy will be done” is always the right attitude in any prayer.

I hope you, stevie, and everyone in the path of this brutal weather stay warm and safe. Stella, I havenβt asked you, how cold is it there, and how much snow are you getting?
LikeLiked by 4 people
We haven’t gotten much new snow, and it’s not unusually cold for February in Michigan – 19 degrees and sunny right now with a forecast high of 23 today. I hear we are expecting four or five inches of total new snow tonight and tomorrow night.

It is projecting to get into single digits at Rancho el Gordito by Monday night, and around 7* F in Houston the same time. That’s a tad cold for us. Staying put for the time being, as I don’t want any part of the roadways with these amateurs. Food – OK, clothes – OK, just hoping the power stays on. Electric furnace and no fireplace. It’s aleady wet, so once it freezes on the power lines, it could be fun………….. How do y’all do this up north every year? π

Natural gas furnace, forced air. If we lose power, I can use my gas range for heat, if I have to. We usually don’t lose power for very long though. Some people (my neighbors for instance) have portable generators for such eventualities. There is actually a gas fireplace in my basement, but I have never used it; there is no ventilation down there!
I have lots of warm clothing – down coats, boots, gloves, hats etc. Also down throws and blankets. Shovels, brooms, ice melt. I also have a snow blower, although I usually rely on my neighbor to do the walkways.

I was shocked when I moved up North and saw that everyone had a pile of coats and boots. All I had ever owned, I think was one, or maybe two different kinds, of coats. Well, actually jackets. But. I finally realized that several were needed because snow gets you very wet.

Robin update:
Still dozens of robins sitting around on the lawn across the street! They are migrating to my yard for the seeds, fruit and nut mix! The wonderful thing is…all the other birds are here too! A couple of dozen cardinals, finches, to name a few and of course the mighty little sparrows haha! It’s so beautiful. π€π

Mornin’ Everyone. It must have poured rain last night. It knocked a lot of the dead leaves off the trees. Pretty unusual. I think it is supposed to rain more today. We could use it. All this political stuff is sickening. I hope all those who hate Trump have public nervous breakdowns. It sorta appears that they are. Grrrrr. Well, Happy Valentine’s Day anyway.
