YOU RAISE ME UP Lyrics:
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up’ To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up’ To more than I can be.
There is no life ‘ no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up’ To more than I can be.
You raise me up’ To more than I can be.

This is a nice round-up of news with an explanation included for one topic. It shows how the Biden people have no real interest in defending the US. The Space Force is very important.
Good Job! Interesting!

A lot is riding on these cases. I doubt the fake media will bother covering the conference; or if they do, it will be dissing negativity. Pray that all on our side will present their evidence winningly to great effect.

Mornin’ everyone. Grey and overcast here. But it is in the 60’s and very pleasant, even though the humidity is very high. The weather guessers say it will rain this afternoon. Excuse me, they say there is a “chance” of rain this afternoon. CYA doncha know. Boy, the news is coming in so fast and furious I can’t keep up with it. There are several videos lined up for today that Stella had posted yesterday and I didn’t have time to watch. I did notice that Lou Dobbs was cancelled and read that Judge Jenean and Maria Baritoroma might be on the chopping block. Well, anyway, stay warm and dry.

ROTFLMOA!
But really folks – that poor, brave Chinese man what was it – about 30 years ago, I guess he was “disappeared”. Which makes me think that after all these decades of torture, death, fear and suppression, now enabled by “pope” Francis, so many of the regular Chinese people still want freedom and love God. May God bless and strengthen those people where ever on earth they may be.

Confirmed: Obama’s ‘Ethics Czar’ Led the ‘Color Revolution’ Behind the 2020 US Election and Then Bragged About It
By Joe Hoft – Published February 6, 2021 at 11:53am
We reported on the ‘Color Revolution’ earlier in the 2020 Presidential campaign – In September Tucker Carlson discussed the ‘color revolution’ and Norm Eisen, ironically Obama’s Ethics Czar, was reportedly behind the resistance and the efforts to remove President Trump from office. Like other Democrat lies, the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) didn’t make health care more affordable and Norm Eisen was not someone who cared about ethics.

I just have to share this. I have the TV on, muted and the Closed Captioning is on. I glanced up and saw the CC type something about Biden and the words trailed off to “hockey speak”. That got my attention, so I watched and it was corrected to “hypocrisy”. Now you may not find that funny, but I thought it was hilarious. Do they hire immigrants who are just learning English to type these CCs?

So, never got back yesterday to post art which was a shame because this was one of the posters that went well with Stella’s amazing tree photo. I cleaned it up and fixed the foxing and crease from folding. It is old, but I really like the image with the mountains, trees, lake and horses – it covers it all!

Thanks, I actually really enjoy fixing up old images 🙂 It’s a very relaxing hobby that takes your mind off everything else. It restores a little bit of beauty someone probably worked very hard to achieve that otherwise would be lost.
That’s somewhere I’d like to visit for sure! The travel image worked! 😉

from http://www.artnet.com/artists/th%C3%A9ophile-alexandre-steinlen/
“Théophile Alexandre Steinlen was a French-Swiss artist best known for his Art Nouveau poster designs and paintings. Steilen often depicted animals, specifically cats, as well as the bohemian cabaret culture of turn-of-the-century Paris. Cats appealed to Steinlen for their charm, movement, and character, as well as for their symbolic properties. Born on November10, 1859 in Lausanne, Switzerland, Steinlen studied design at the University of Lausanne, before moving to Paris. Amidst the artistic avant-garde in Montmarte, it was at the notorious Le Chat Noir club, that Steinlen met artists like Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Louis Anquetin, Adolphe Willette, and Félix Vallotton. He produced advertisements for the Le Chat Noir, and found artistic recognition through frequent exhibitions at the Salon des Indépendants. The artist died on December 13, 1923 in Paris, France. Today, his works are in the collections of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.”
Even though I can not find an image with his signature of the famous club mentioned in the article, this signed image is very close to other club images:
Here is another of his signed images:
Have a great day everyone! 🙂 My timer went off! Have to run! 😉

I think the blue sapphire is my favorite.
Here is a nice Cartier sapphire, diamond and platinum necklace to go with it. It even has a triangular stone like the ring! 😉

Beautiful! Would definitely put that in my collection. The top portion seems Art Deco. Not sure about the lower large blue sapphire portion. To me it looks more 1950s, perhaps done to update the piece when Art Deco was no longer popular. It’s certainly possible it was created that way; but I lean toward a combo.

Yes I agree it is a mixed style piece. A week or 2 ago on Antiques Roadshow they had a high end necklace that the appraiser called “transitional” saying it was between and took from both the Edwardian or Belle Epoch style and the Art Deco style. This looks similar in that it takes from 2 different styles. Some of these high end pieces could be separated or used as pins or clips. I wonder if there was a little clip or hook behind the bottom diamond drop if the pear shaped piece could be taken off and used separately as a pendant?

I have a ruby ring that belonged to my grandmother. It was supposed to be passed down to me on my 16th birthday but my mother would not give it to me. Since I don’t have a daughter my granddaughter will get it.
I’m not very big on jewelry at all but I do like sapphires.

My maternal grandmother’s 1910 engagement ring was a group of rubies beautifully done in a flower design. My mother’s youngest sister inherited it, but later gave it to me since her son had married a girl she was jealous of and didn’t want her to have it. Yes, childish.
So, what I did after my aunt died was to send it to her granddaughter for her 16th birthday. I figured it should stay in the line of the person who inherited it.

A girl after my own heart! Even as a little girl, I went around collecting any sort of rock I thought was pretty – some things never change! Hahaha! 😉 We’re 2 of a kind when it comes to art and jewelry 😉
Before my last computer broke I had just finished up a series to do as comments here on fashion and jewelry 1890’s to 1950’s. Each day had an illustration of the fashion, a photo of an actual gown or dress, and the corresponding jewelry worn.
I used to make jewelry for a store in an upscale town, but the wonderful lady who ran it had to close up after she was hit by a car. Once I get my house fixed up, I’m thinking maybe I’ll try to sell custom and one of a kind religious jewelry (rosaries, rosary necklaces, etc.) or secular jewelry if requested.

Oh, by all means go for it. If a person has the talent for jewelry design, it can bring such pleasure to create and have others appreciate the work of art.

I know, I’d probably never make it because around here if we have sweets everyone inhales them, they aren’t into savoring small portions. Not likely I’d do that for my herd.

As we have all talked about so many times, I’m trying hard to reduce my consumption, so to speak, of social media sites, Amazon, etc, by corporations who have aided in the suppression of my rights. Surprisingly, I’m doing well at giving up, mostly, the convenience of Amazon. I do not miss Facebook much. I only usually tweet your articles, and a few other eye openers. When I decide to leave Twitter I won’t be missed, I don’t have much of a following, and haven’t actively cared to engage there.
But I love YouTube. I find lots of things to learn, and just as many to just enjoy. I haven’t attempted that break yet. Anything that I have tried to learn I have found on YouTube. Professionally, when I was still painting I found so much help there on new products, faux techniques, textures, etc.
Right now I’m helping my sister in law re-do her kitchen cabinets and counters. Still finding good stuff. YouTube and Pinterest are my go to sites.
