Miss Thia sang in the choir which recorded the song when she was in 5th grade.

What beautiful voices! They look happy and without stress. I pray they stay safe and are able to keep their love of God in such a precarious area. The video images are lovely as well.

My flagpole is tall enough that a large flag can be seen by those driving down Hwy#2. Since the wind shredded my American flag last week, I thought that I would replace it with The Appeal to Heaven flag, however, a 3 ‘ x 5 ‘ is as large as I can find.
I cannot bring myself to turn my beloved Stars & Stripes upside down, but I do want to make a statement. Perhaps I will have to see if I can find a jumbo Betsy Ross flag instead.

I have a 3×5 hanging in my front door window. Many private delivery services are required now to take photos of deliveries when completed; so my flag gets it’s picture taken 4 or 5 times a month.
Giving the distress signal should not be done lightly. With our nation in peril not only from without but from within, there’s just cause. But, like you, I wouldn’t use my cloth flag in such a manner. Stickers are another matter.

:0) Love that your flag is photographed by delivery personnel….great idea Lucille…
Stickers and stamps are both another matter. The postmaster always keeps “flag” stamps on hand for me and tax payments and letters to Congress critters usually sees an upside down stamp attached. Just my little token of protest…..

Thank you so much Stella. I really appreciate that. It went well, and was so much easier than the surgery last month!

Yeah I found that site G&C, but they’re all 3 x 5 and I need a flag that’s a wee bit bigger…I might just have to sew one up myself….we’ll see if I can talk myself into being enthusiastic enough to do it….:0)

Not much of an update, but labs were done yesterday, more today. We didn’t get to find out anything yesterday other than his calcium is really low. Having that rechecked today.
They told him he had gallstones but since they hadn’t been bothering him they weren’t going to do anything. Last night he got woke up with his stomach hurting so we don’t know if it’s the drugs or the gallstones. They also didn’t like his kidney function so they put him on sodium carbonate in the hospital. It’s something else that could cause stomach issues. It’s also one of the things that said it could mess with calcium according to the printouts. Then the shots and the hormone pills can mess with calcium as well as liver.
He gets one night of sleep and then two nights of not being able to sleep because of all the hot flashes and sweating he does at night.
He wanted to work today, but I talked him into to staying home and getting some rest except for going to get his lab work done.
I feel bad today because I wasn’t up with him last night, I had been having trouble sleeping the previous three nights and I just passed out last night and didn’t know until this morning when I woke him up to take his hormone pills that he had a bad night.
His blood pressure was up this morning for some reason. We check it every morning according to instructions to monitor it and it’s always low.
Please keep him in your prayers.

Things look better this afternoon, his bp is down, he got some much needed sleep. Dr. called him in some different calcium supplements. He didn’t seem as worried about it as the doctor at the hospital.
I’m hoping they can tell us if it’s the medicine or gallstones causing the stomach pain and hopefully they can stop it.
It’s still scary waiting on the rest of the lab results. I had a lady tell me that it’s always nerve wrecking, but eventually it gets easier waiting on the results.

Still praying. Gall stones can be very painful, if that is what it is. I have had one attack, but never had mine removed. Both my mom and my daughter have. Mom said the pain is worse than childbirth.

Thank you. Most days everything is kind of routine now. I have been trying to keep busy, less time to think when I do that. Thinking and dwelling is what gets me. We’re having baby goats early this year, we had planned on earlier babies so that if we were off racing we wouldn’t be having babies born. That has been keeping us really busy the past few weeks.
My husband has been working, they told him he had no restrictions, he just gets tired more often than he did, but that is a side effect of the drugs and then of course the nights he can’t sleep, another side effect of the drugs that cause insomnia and hot flashes and night sweats, then of course the stomach pain was severe last night.
We’ll know more if the drugs are working next week when he goes back to the oncologist. He has an appointment with the urologist tomorrow, but not sure what that will entail. I think that’s the hardest part for him outside of the dozens of pills he has to take, which the majority are vitamin supplements is doctor visits. He hates taking drugs and he hates doctors. lol

Don’t miss this short goodbye!

A gracious goodbye from our President as was the “thank-you rally” at Joint Base Andrews where he looked so relaxed and happy. A lot of people are complaining today saying he let everyone down and other like blather. All I can say is that even the toughest skin gets a little tired when it’s 24/7/365 hatred, threats, and lies. Honestly, I don’t know how he did it, especially in light of the stunning betrayals. God bless him for each moment he gave to us and America.
Strange, but this morning I opened my email account used for “governmental business” and there was an email from The White House…but it was from Joe Biden. Dang it, someone failed to close out that communication avenue for the Bide-Harr fakers by destroying the email list.
I’m sure millions of conservatives signed up for WH emails because they wanted to hear from President Trump, not just any old administration which might be able to steal an election and get into the West Wing. Instead those communist bozos now have millions of conservatives’ email addresses to use as they please.
I unsubscribed, of course. But what an alarming oversight by the staff. Makes a person wonder what else they left undone.

To all those who are complaining that he let us down, I’m going to offer a list of questions on their qualifications to b!tch. What have they been doing to stop the Deep State? How many hours of volunteer work during the election? How many elected officials, local, state, and National have they contacted, and did they follow up. Got more to add, but you get the idea.
If they can answer these questions satisfactorily they can criticize. Otherwise I can suggest a much warmer domicile where that may abide.
I don’t think he was perfect. He made mistakes like all of us. But he was quite possibly the best president ever. I think so.

I think so, too, Menagerie! Going to miss him a lot. Hope he takes a tour of the Trump golf courses for a while, plays them all, and along the way sheds the full-on awfulness he’s been getting, refreshes himself, sees the grandkids, works on the memoirs, and comes roaring back with humor and ideas for the future. Us MAGA folk will still be there for him.

Lucille, I know most cannot stomach Steve Bannon. But you really should have listened this morning.
Bannon has remained one of Our President’s most staunch supporters, but in his own crude way, Bannon is a breath of fresh air. We’re listening to Dr Peter Navarro for the 5-6 p.m.hour, a Trump Wolverine who teaches and enlightens. And boy oh boy is Dr Navarro talking right now lolol.
Apparently Dr Navarro is not going anywhere, staying right there in D.C.
What fun!

I actually rather liked Bannon when he was in the Administration. Haven’t listened to him since, though. Navarro’s reports have been readable even if I’m not particularly versed in the nuts and bolts of his investigation methods. Is there a transcript or a link for the 5-6 hour? I’d like to listen.

I have not watched television for over 10 days, and I’m pretty sure I can go another 10 without watching all this fawning, sycophantic, groveling, and boot-licking. I’ll turn on the tube when there’s something on I want to watch, and turn it off when there’s not. So far, they haven’t completely ruined golf, but I’m waiting. I’ve not watched football, baseball, basketball, or NASCAR since this craziness started. Haven’t missed any of it. Not gonna wallow in the mud with the pigs. They’ll beat me with experience.

I have been watching British tv dramas etc, some of which I’ve seen before. Midsomer Murders has been on for 20 years, and now it’s all available on YouTube. Ditto with Hercule Poirot. Another great series is Foyle’s War. I think it’s only available on pay networks though (Acorn TV) – it’s cheap, though – $5.99 a month.

Mrs. T and I had a long discussion the other day about our viewing habit. We’ve pretty much decided we need a cheaper habit. So now, the fun begins. Looking at lots of options, Roku, Youtube TV, Hulu, Netflix. Far too many for a quick and easy decision.

I have been wanting to cancel my cable, but I decided to figure out what my viewing habits are. It seemed that if I went totally to my Amazon Fire Stick, I would have to pay for many different ways of viewing anything. A few dollars here and a few there and it would and up and I still would miss some of the things I actually like to watch all the time. I haven’t had much luck in changing.

That’s what we’re afraid of. But………trying to figure out if 3-4 shows are worth the effort of having several different options/things to program are worth it to save $10/month.

At first I saved a lot. Now the cable company increased the cost of my internet and phone to the point where I’m spending as much as I was. I should change companies in order to get a better rate (which I can do in this area), but I’ve been too lazy to get it taken care of.

Take a look at SlingTV. They have packages with many of the cable channels you watch now, for less.

I will do that. The biggest challenge we will have is to get the most channels out of the least options that we can. We struggle running a DVD if we don’t play one at least weekly. No young’uns at home to help. 😉

I have Roku. I subscribe to Acorn, Britbox and OANN at the moment, along with Amazon Prime.
I have subscribed to Netflix and Hulu at one time or another, but not now. It’s easy to subscribe and drop the subscription within one billing period. I used to subscribe to Sling TV (I like their packages better than YouTube TV), but didn’t think I was watching enough to warrant a monthly subscription any more. Regular YouTube is free, but viewable via Roku. NewsMax is free.
