DO YOU LOVE ME?

Oh Lucille, my husband and I just loved this. I’m sending it on to the grandsons who will really go crazy over it.

Always glad to provide viewing pleasures to grandkids. Thanks for mentioning it. I think I’ll send it on to one of my Canadian grandnieces who has three boys and a girl. She homeschools them as she and her husband decided that their local schools are teaching a lot of PC nonsense.

P.S. I never thought that I’d see the day I have to say robots are more coordinated than me, and agile too. Not that I’ve ever been really agile, I’m on the clumsy side. But I was so impressed at the programming and engineering behind it when they went on one leg.
That’s one of my therapy exercises now, standing the hurt leg for ten seconds at a time. Both balance and ankle pain are the reason. So, yes, the robots waaaay out do me. Just too cool!
I remember how awesome we thought robots were in our childhood movies and shows in the sixties, rolling around on their wheels.

Thanks Lucille! That really made me smile.

We can consider it our morning smile therapy. As Menagerie said, the programming/engineering is impressive.

Happy Sunday all. Brr, got cold overnight. It’s 39 and has been raining some here, but it is over now, I think. Colder this week. Of course, because I wanted to take the kids outside somewhere for play and a walk tomorrow.
There used to be a really cool place in Georgia for kids. It was in a huge metal building, and it had three or four huge bouncy houses with slides, and various rides and games for them to play. I used to take my granddaughter when she was about three or four and get out for under 20 bucks, easy, and that was letting her play a long time.
It closed, and I don’t know of another, but it sure would be a fun place for them. It was good exercise for her, and she loved every minute of it.

Menagerie, I used to always look for carousels when my son and grandkids were young…For me there’s something magical about them and they never failed to bring out the smiles and laughter. They too were a fairly inexpensive way to spend a few hours and most of them were usually surrounded by walking paths and parks…..perhaps you have one in your area??

Yes, a wonderful one, but it is closed right now because of the Wuhan farce. I love carousels too! Thanks for the reminder, it will be something to look forward to.

Here is Bishop Barron’s commentary on today’s gospel reading, celebrating the Epiphany. His daily thoughts are short, and really help you understand the Bible. I find them such a great tool. I love his final quote.
THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD
MATTHEW 2:1-12
Friends, the story of the Magi told in today’s Gospel is a summary of the principal dynamics of the spiritual life. Watching the night sky with scrupulous attention for signs of God’s purpose, the Magi evoke the importance of alertness in the spiritual order. We must keep our eyes open to see what God is up to.
Once they saw the star, they moved, despite the length of the journey. Sometimes people know what God wants them to do, but they don’t act, either out of fear, laziness, or the influence of bad habits. The Magi teach us to move.
When they spoke to Herod of the birth of a new King, he tried to use them to destroy the baby. When you walk the path that God has laid out for you, expect opposition.
The wise men came to Bethlehem and gave the child their precious gifts. When you come to Christ, break open the very best of yourself and make it a gift for him.
Finally, they returned to their home country by another route. As Fulton Sheen commented so magnificently: of course they did; for no one comes to Christ and goes back the same way he came!

The Sheen quote is certainly a profound one. Thanks for the beautiful post. Do you have a link? I’d like to subscribe.

Here you go Lucille. I get something special from him almost every day. His short offerings have helped me far more than anything else I have ever undertaken, although I also have high hopes for this year. I’m doing the Bible in a year with Fr. Mike Schmitz.

Thanks, Menagerie! I signed up.
That’s great re going through the Bible in a year. If every Christian made that commitment at least once in their lives, it would be so beneficial personally and also in relation to our handling national issues.
My mother for the 20 years prior to her losing her reading eyesight due to macular degeneration (she still had peripheral vision), read the Bible through every year. What a dear person she was.

If folks prefer being read to, rather than reading the text themselves, go to the Bible readings by David Suchet (Hercule Poirot) at “Jonah” YouTube channel…
https://www.youtube.com/user/SolSilence/videos
Really wonderful to hear Suchet’s expressive voice. I don’t know if he plans to tape the entire Bible. That’s quite an undertaking if it’s done right. So far there is Matthew, Mark, Luke, John The Psalms, Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs.

Mornin’ all. Misty rainy here today. My friend said last night that it is supposed to turn cold, she means down in the 50’s or maybe even 40’s. 😯 Right now it is still in the 70’s. Hope everybody has a great day and keep praying for the President and for two wins in Georgia.

Good afternoon, aus! We’re at 43 degrees and the sun is shining…a really lovely day.
Yes, indeed, prayers are said at night and during the day for our President and our two senators from Georgia. The Dems are really awful people, full of hate for America and American patriots. Winning both seats is a must to keep the Dems from pushing us into their Venezuela agenda.
Did you see this? So sickening! He’s not only brainwashed but enjoys brainwashing others, too.
Democrat Raphael Warnock: America Needs to Repent for Supporting Trump and its “Worship of Whiteness” (VIDEO)

Just to get the terrible taste out of our mouths, let’s enjoy the video (my programming won’t let me view it, but I understand our dear President is showing just why he’s so admired around the country among non-brainwashed patriots)…

Hey Wee. I’ve seen this little girl’s pic in so many memes. The first time I saw it I questioned her mother, she is a dead ringer for my great niece. As in I was fooled and thought my niece was in the meme.
