Love Ella and this song! At 2:49 you’ll see Dizzy Gillespie looking up admiringly at Ella and a smiling Duke Ellington can be seen at 3:08. They knew what a great talent she was along with being a sweet-natured woman.
She was my Daddy’s favorite female singer with Peggy Lee coming in a close second. He had a bunch of long-playing LPs of Ella’s which were frequently listened to…the Gershwin Songbook being one I recall. Seems to me we had the Cole Porter Songbook, too.
“Just don’t give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong.” – Ella Fitzgerald
