Good day-after-Christmas morning. I think this day is the coldest we have had yet. We had a little t-storm come through in the middle of the night. There was a lot of thunder, etc. but it was over quickly and the light went off for a couple minutes. Now it is in the low 40’s and was probably below that before I got up. Stay warm and toasty today. 🙂

Good afternoon, aus! We’re at 36 degrees with 3 inches of snow overnight. I got out and shoveled the walk a couple of hours ago. Great exercise when the snow is soft and easily shoveled. But it’s more like torture when the snow is hard packed with an icy crust. Today it was soft and melty.

This is not the kind of news I’m looking for the day after Santa. But I guess it’s appropriate for the Santa-believers in DC. Looks like a bunch of pols from our side might just help Sloe Joe promote his glo-bull warming agenda. Love the Uni-Part concept. :/

Amazing how all these folks are playing right into China’s hands. China, of course, has no intention of obeying anything that limits their Great Leap Forward to dominate the world.

  9. Here is an interesting story:

    https://remnantnewspaper.com/web/index.php/fetzen-fliegen/item/5206-christmas-in-the-trenches-the-true-story

Christmas in the Trenches, The True Story
A Christmas Truce at the World War I Front

Editor’s Note: This article was published in The Remnant in 2006 after having first appeared on the Your Guide to 20th Century History website. It is reproduced here with the permission of the author. The original song by John McCutcheon is well worth listening to as you read this incredible story from a day and age not so very far removed from our own but, alas, fading in every way from the consciousness of “grown up” and “enlightened” men who’ve lost sight of God, Country and even who and what they are anymore– much less the true meaning of Christmas. Here is one of my favorite nativity pics. It is by Margaret Tarrant .

Why all these MT pics you ask? She had 2 Christmas books of her paintings, & I really like her paintings.

Yummy beef roast leftovers tonight for dinner! I love not having to cook, and yesterday’s dinner was easy to make without too many dirty dishes.
