Morning Lucille. I didn’t take time yesterday to comment on your medical issues. I am really sorry, and hope, at the least, you get answers from your doctor. Prayers for you!

Thanks so much, Menagerie! I’m just puzzled as to why the doctor did not recommend my seeing a nephrologist. It’s not like the condition is insignificant or will simply go away with time. He’s a regular MD and not a specialist who would know all about the situation.

Today I’ve got interior body tremors and teeth chattering which feels rather like when you’ve been in extreme cold weather for too long and aren’t properly dressed…sort of hypothermic reaction. I’d imagine this is connected to anxiety. The only other time I’ve had them is right after the 1994 Northridge 6.7 earthquake in Los Angeles when the house bounced around like a ping pong ball.

I also did not have time to respond yesterday. Is there any way you can dump Medicare Advantage during open enrollmen? A couple years ago, when I was considering changing my supplemental, the 80-year-old woman who advises seniors on Medicare insisted I not choose it but instead choose a Plan F (then) or now Plan G (which I have) Those may be more expensive than Advantage but have allowed me to see as many doctors as I want to get an opinion I feel comfortable with. If good MD’s are limited there, it’s probably worth going outside the preferred list and just get the good treatment.
Also, exercise and diet cannot be underrated…I am so happy you have researched online and are following up with their advice. I like WebMD and Mayo Clinic sites.
Anyway, you will be in my prayers constantly, Lucille!

Mornin’ All. A little cool here this morning, only 65* but nice out in the sun. I nearly panicked this morning. I thought I couldn’t find Stellas’ or CTH. They just didn’t come up the way I expected them to. 😯

I think it was about 12 years ago I used to go to a site called The Smoking Gun –
they showed celebrity mug shots. I noticed there were a lot of California Girls,
which made me think of the Beach Boys, and I was playing around with Windows
Movie Maker at the time. This is the result:

More evidence shows that lockdowns have been detrimental to children`s mental health
Written by Martha Njolomole on November 16, 2020

On November 13th the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published a report showing trends in Mental health wellness in children during the Coronavirus pandemic. The report utilizes data on visits to the Emergency Department (ED), which tend to be children`s first point of contact, to analyze mental health visits among children. Why Moderna may have an edge in the vaccine race: refrigeration
The biotech firm claims its candidate can protect against the lethal disease and can be stored in a normal refrigerator for 30 days.
By Sarah Elizabeth Richards – November 16, 2020

IT’S STILL EARLY days, but the news from the COVID-19 vaccine front continues to bring much-needed hope to a virus-ravaged world.

On Monday, Moderna Therapeutics announced the first batch of interim results from its highly watched phase three clinical trial. The company claims its vaccine candidate is 94.5-percent effective—a startling sequel to last week’s revelation by the pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and BioNTech that their version had a similar success rate. Given both are mRNA vaccines, the news provides additional proof that this cutting-edge technology might be ready for the first approval in its decades-long history.
