Feel like someone just punched me in the gut……………

Any suggestions as to what we as avid readers of the CTH can do?

Is there a reason CTH can’t just migrate to another hosting platform?

That is one of the options being considered.

Sundance is working with IT specialists to determine his best options.

When they made on-line gambling illegal, people setup off-shore. I recall hearing someone bought an surplus deep-sea oil drilling platform to host their own equipment in international waters.
I can easily envision how difficult the tech service companies could make things without the government ever being involved.

This makes me so angry! I swear, I could just chew steel and spit nails right now. I’m actually sick at my stomach from nerves, and I’m sure they want us all this way.

Thank you for being here and posting about the Treehouse Stella! I hope wordpress doesn’t shut down Stella’s place next. Hang in there and god bless.

Thanks, Tom. They just recently took my money for another year of hosting. I think I will consider moving elsewhere anyway, but I’ll wait to see what Sundance decides to do first.

I’ve been an admin at the Treehouse since the first day – February 1, 2011. Before that, I was an admin (along with Sundance and others) at another blog that got shut down abruptly. This isn’t our first rodeo!

There was a Canadian forum (like a northern version of Free Republic) I used to post on almost 20 years ago called Free Dominion / somewhat ironic /.
Around 2001 the Liberal government added some sections to the Human Rights code dealing with the internet.
One addition was section 13.1 – so draconian it made the KBG blush .
To protect themselves the owners migrated their site to severs in Panama.

At least so far, the Canadian government has more leeway when it comes to censoring speech. We have the 1st amendment here in the USA (as long as it lasts.)

No kidding – btw section 13.1 was repelled – 2014 I think. A few of the more outlandish things being you weren’t allowed to face your accuser and truth and fair comment are no defense.

I can remember when the Treehouse would announce when they hit 1M views for the first time, then 2,3,4, and then 5M. After that is when the dam broke. I should say I’m not surprised., But I am. Another case of cutting off your nose to spite your face. :/

Well, I honestly never expected to be ruled by the stasi in my lifetime. But here we are! I’ve been censored on twitter over math, parler won’t let me in, now this.

This is what happens when you are left without adult supervision, Miss Wee. I’m starting to see some migration over to MeWe which is the platform “like” FB. I’m on Parler too, but I never did the Tweeter, so I’m not quite as sporty. Did you see the article by Prof. Jacobson about him getting ready to take Legal Insurrection off of its current platform. I don’t think it’s WP, but he’s concerned too.

I am unable to enter a comment on their site. Evidently WP has shut that part of their site down. They already have their bags packed and are ready to move to greener pastures. WP is just one of many tech companies attempting to censor free speech. It’s a shame

Read the latest post. Certain comments are limited until the migration is complete. This decision was made by Sundance and the migration team. It has nothing to do with WordPress. Comments made right now will not be retained.

It’s been two hours since reading this and next-door.To say gut-punched is an understatement.
Went through a couple years of this on my previous sites (Kim DotCom affiliated), moving servers from country to country. Took two years to find you all. Never dreamed this would happen here in this country for using the wrong words and thinking the wrong thoughts.

You are safe, Stella, yes? For now, anyway. Your patriotic posts may doom you as well.
For once, there are now no more words.

A sad day for America. This turn of events is not the least surprising. I’ve been expecting censorship since WP messed with the “upgrades” at CTH. Nonetheless, it is still sickening and awful to have it at your doorstep. It’s a reminder for us to take seriously the Democrat plan to make us pay for our support of President Trump and his view of what America can be again.

WP has either finally given in to their own inclinations and are going full leftie, or they have had Leftism Wrath sicced on them. Otherwise, there simply is no reason to send freedom and free speech packing. That they cannot be truthful about their motives says volumes. Why lie and say that the rules have been breached? Lack of character seems to be one of the answers. Ugliness reigns.

What WP is doing is nothing less than sinful, IMO, since they are lying and showing forth hatred. Being a little more concerned about their immortal souls and repenting–meaning turning away from evil by doing a 180–is called for or the next life will be a mighty terrible one. And that’s not being hyperbolic.

The thing I wonder/worry about is if WordPress can deplatform you even if you move to another server could they stop you from using their software?

There are about a half dozen sites that group leaders are moving to and are setting up operations.
Parler, MeWe, and I can’t think on the rest, I can’t remember where I wrote it down. I really need a better system.

        I finally found the list.
Here are sites that were taken from a meme that I cannot copy & paste.
        Parler is the New Twitter
Gab & MeWe is the new Facebook.
        Rumble is the new YouTube.
DuckDuckGo is the new Google. (I believe search engine.)
Telegram & Signal are the new Messenger.
News Max & OAN are the new FOX News.

        Also, there is Megabook.
I think there are a few more. I have some of these accounts, though not used much.I will try to post them when I find them.

Wow – so they want to shut us up, do they? The truth hurts. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am.

I’ve been a reader of CTH since our President announced he was running, but haven’t post because I didn’t feel as knowledgeable as most of you.

This latest attack on free speech is unacceptable, as is every other evil deed they’ve done. They are organized and fight dirty. We must organize and fight. Cut them off at the knees – stop funding them. We are more powerful than they. If only a third of 70 million left FB or Twitter, they would know it and feel it.

I was so down last weekend about what they are trying to pull over on us. Now, I’m just mad as he$$ and ready to fight back. They want us weak, depressed and beat down.

We are an ARMY and can defeat them!
