I dare to say that Trump made a tactical error pointing out the USPS’s new clothes before the election. He should have waited until after the election to jump on them, his advisors should have foreseen the issues with ballots being delivered by mail, especially in light of previous USPS incidents involving ballots.
The USPS has relied heavily on Democratic largesse over the years and will strike back violently when their warm, fuzzy nest is threatened, they’ll never be conservative-friendly but it’s best not to rile them until you’re on safe ground.
