Wow, such amazing color! I miss red in the autumn pallette, we have none. Our yellow, from massive birch forests, is pretty but without the contrasting red it sure doesn’t have the WOW factor that these photos convey. As always, Lucille, thanks for finding such beauty for us to gaze upon. Makes these tough times a little easier for a moment.

Yesterday was our first snow day of the winter. By midnight we had a foot of white stuff. From zero to a foot in 1 day is pretty quick for us. And more coming today. But fairly warm–high 20s/low 30s–so we’ll likely be back to Mud Season by Wednesday.

Good morning Stella. I had an idea I’m trying to get going. Can you post a prayer warrior thread encouraging your readers to say a prayer at a certain time while we’re going through this trial? Maybe do a collaboration with Sundance over at the Treehouse? Confident, concentrated prayers so our Lord hear’s us is never a bad thing.

He lived a year and a half after diagnosis with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. That is really rare. My mother was a devoted fan of Jeopardy! and Alex. I hope she runs into him in Heaven. RIP Alex.

I clean my system hourly sometimes. Even though I have 3 ad blockers the cookie bakers are always working on ways to circumvent them. They’ve even developed hi-tech trackers that attach to your system in ways regular cleaning devices can’t detect or remove. I’d posted, some years back, that the Obama White House was using one, you visit the WH site, it attached to your system and reported your movement for Allah knows how long right back to someone. Some geek found it and reported on it. No word on if they ever found the geek.

It is 69 degrees here right now, a low in the 50’s tonight, and a high of 73 tomorrow. I got most of my old car cleaned out so that I can donate it to anyone who will come and get it! I’m contemplating leasing a small car; I’m kind of tired of being house bound.

Just make sure you look at all the details in the lease. My friend did that and then found out that she could only put so many miles on the car and had to pay for the extra miles, which I thought was very strange. There were a couple other things that she found out later that she didn’t like.

I drive very few miles per year, so that wouldn’t be a problem for me. Actually, most leases have a mileage limit. My consideration is whether or not I want to begin paying auto insurance and a monthly lease again. I paid off one loan, so I have a bit more cash in the budget. I guess I’m cheap.

I bought this car in 2003, and I really liked it. It is rusting out components though, and I don’t think it’s worth repairing any longer.

Mine is a 2006 Crown Vic. There isn’t much chance of it rusting the way cars do up North with the salted roads unless you drive it in the ocean water. And, I am parking it in a carport, which I have to pay $20/mo for, but helps with the sun damage. It also helps with the dry rot on the tires.

Yes. We bought a used car from an owner up there when we lived in Upstate NY. I can’t remember what it was, but I loved driving that car. It was a midsized car and all I had driven, except for a crewcab dually was small cars. Anyway, when we moved to Tenn. it finally needed a new transmission and my husband didn’t want to put the money into it because of all the salt rust damage. I have always been sorry that I had to give it up.

I write this in Las Vegas, where I answered Ric Grenell’s call to come out and help with the Nevada post-election chaos. I’m not going to talk about specifics here, but I’ve seen individual and systemic irregularities that are sometimes shocking. The idea that we are suppose to just shrug and accept this fiasco and go on as if there was nothing wrong with this election is a sure way to guarantee that these same issues will arise again and again and again.
