Shoveling snow?? Why yes, yes I was…:0) Mornin’ aus. It looks like we got about four or five inches yesterday and there’s more snow in the forecast for tomorrow.

Makes me feel a bit guilty about sitting on the back porch with a drink in 82 degree temps. Of course we could do that in Utah, it would have to be a drink like Irish coffee, and we’d have to bundle up, put boots and scarves and hats on…but why bother?

Interesting opinion piece:
To bind or not to bind? The Supreme Court’s ‘faithless elector’ decision
https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/507152-to-bind-or-not-to-bind-the-supreme-courts-faithless-elector-decision
…To be fair, the court recognized the difficulty of a deceased candidate — in a footnote — but did not resolve the issue. It’s an issue worth considering, however, because the problem can take so many forms. What if a candidate were to become ineligible for the presidency because of impeachment and removal from office? What if it were discovered that a candidate, believed to be a U.S. citizen, was born in a different country?
These and other events could leave Congress in an odd position when it comes time to count the votes: If 270 or more electors were bound to cast their ballots for an ineligible candidate, then those votes could be thrown out. The Constitution’s secondary election procedure — a House contingent election — would be triggered because no candidate obtained a majority in the Electoral College. Yet by the express provisions of the Constitution, the only candidate in that secondary election would be the losing presidential candidate.
To bring it to the present, if in the unhappy instance Joe Biden garnered the necessary 270 electoral votes, but his health failed, then the Democratic electors could not vote for Kamala Harris or some other Democratic candidate. Thus Trump would win by default. I can hear the wailing now!

Guess who gets to meet this guy tomorrow ???
Thinking I should run to the local t-shirt shop and have a t-shirt made that reads “I can find Kosovo and Serbia on a map.”

Great idea! Where will you be meeting him?

Here in Waukesha at a gathering at one of the republican headquarters
should be about a hundred people there so hopefully I’ll be able to get a photo with him. I know there used to be a t-shirt place right near here but I think it’s gone I’ll have to bing it and see if I can get one 🙂 !

Pres. Trump to visit Wisconsin, three other states this weekend
Trump will be here this Saturday ! If it’s not raining I’m going! If it’s raining likely he’ll be moved either to a hangar or a local rotunda (smallish) .
