“Happy the man, and happy he alone,
he who can call today his own:
he who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today.”

I’m still working on this, often with pitiful results.

Mornin’ everyone. Still overcast here. The weather guessers have been forecasting rain, that is, until it is supposed to fall and then they go, “well, maybe not.” LOL Still waiting for the theaters to open. My friend and I can’t figure out what to do besides have lunch. Guess we will go back and watch a video at her house. 🙄 Anyway, have a nice day. Our lion is out of the hospital. 😀

  6. I have no doubt about the power of God to help, strengthen and enable our POTUS to get through all the lies and wicked intent aimed at him.

Just my lowly, mortal opinion, but I do believe that the virus thing was launched against him. One more weapon after the Russian thing, impeachment and a 1000 other things failed to derail him.

The other side wants to completely control us, but a few break away from the machine and get to the business of God and helping our Republic…at all costs.

A comment about socialism from a favorite writer, John Zmirak.

Put simply, it’s the same case we offer against slavery. Property is nothing more or less than a person’s time, the fruit of his labors. If our labors don’t belong to us but instead to the State, or some global agency, or the next band of rioting looters, then we aren’t really free. Every day of labor that’s taken gets turned, in retrospect, into slave labor. And slavery is evil.

Awhile back I did a little checking on — whether or not it was accurate that the original wording of those opening lines was to be “….life, liberty, and the pursuit of property”….and was able to confirm it. The point being – – – in merry old England, personal property was not within the privilege or possibility of the common man. The higher classes could have personal property. Not Dick and Jane. So, in the New World, they did want Dick and Jane to be able to have/own “personal property”.

Considering how twisted things are, I wish they had held on to that wording. In terms of history and reality, I think “the pursuit of property” is more understandable than the pursuit of happiness.

Dan Bongino to undergo surgery on Wednesday for a tumor on his neck
    By Peter Barry Chowka

On September 27, Dan Bongino, Fox News contributor, host of one of the most popular political podcasts, and bestselling author (and prior to all of that a Secret Service agent who served on the presidential protection detail and a NYC police officer), appeared on Fox and Friends (6–9 A.M. E.T.) and confirmed that he had a serious health issue involving a tumor in his neck. Earlier this morning, in a live follow-up segment on the same program, Bongino, 48, appearing from a hotel room in NYC, announced that he would be having surgery at a New York hospital on Wednesday to determine the extent of the tumor and its treatment.

It’s true. And the Babylon Bee will go out of business because truth is stranger than fiction. Have you seen the new Antifa candidate for mayor in Portland? She’s a communist and leading in the polls.

Something I posted next door, thought I’;d post here too for consideration/comment.

    It’s ungrounded paranoia, but…

We’re seeing more and more ‘official’ warnings/worries about the dangers of flu in the upcoming season and how that flu could interact with the COVID. This is interesting as the 2019-2020 flu season was projected to be a bad one yet the COVID pandemic seems to have blunted the flu season, bringing it way down from what was projected.

Much of this is attributed to COVID protective measures (social distancing, venue shutdowns, hand washing/disinfection, etc) but it seems that the medical Cassandras are now discounting that effect this coming season. What do they know that we aren’t hearing or are they just creating wind to justify their positions?

The COVID is the 2nd SARS animal-based virus to attack us out of China, as do some virulent varieties of the flu (2009, H1N1 swine flu). Each one seems to be a bit more virulent than its predecessor and cause more damages. Are we going to see a more virulent strain of flu, another SARS or some other animal-derived virus soon, are the medical intel types trying to tell us something? How long before another SARS clone or stronger flu (another Asian animal-based virus) hits us with even worse effects than the COVID (labeled SARS-2, remember) hits?

Let’s see if my unbridled paranoia holds and, in the next few years, the Chinese have another deadly zoonotic virus that accidentally escapes to the US.
