      Good evening Lucille 🙂 !

I’m going to try to stay awake for the debate debacle.

I’m hoping that President Trump has members of the Ukraine investigative team and Tara Reade front and center.

Good evening, lovely! If Biden were in his right mind and not senile, I’d watch it. There is just no way I can view a mentally disabled old man exploited in such a way by his wife and the others who call us Nazis and fascists.

If the Dems had even the slightest bit of courage and decency, they would have run the people who did the best in the so-called Dem debates and primaries outside of Biden who they’ve known is senile long before he became the nominee. But this is obscene to the max. It’s unnerving for people to despise us so utterly. Sic, sad and sinful.

Great idea for President Trump to bring in people who know the truth and have them view the goings-on. He did that so well in 2016.

“The enemy is always to the right”. Liberal Mantra since the 1800s, There is no one to the left of a Communist. When you are a Communist, everyone who disagrees with your agenda is to the right and labeled a Nazi.

Today is September 29th, the Feast Day of the Archangels, among them the most important is the Archangel Michael. The feast day was previously called “Michaelmas”. Fun fact: when mom was expecting the arrival of wee ZurichMike, her due date was September 29th, and she chose Michael as a name if she had a boy (which is she did, and which is why I am called Michael, although I was born in October!

Today is also the first debate between Trump and Biden. The former apostolic nuncio to the US wrote to the President, recognizing that he his fighting forces of great evil.

On this day especially, we need to “Pray without ceasing”.1 Thessalonians 5:17. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers . . . against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

Prepare for battle and “Put on the whole armor of God” Ephesians 6:11: –
Helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 5:17, Isaiah 59:17, 1 Thessalonian 5:8)
    Shield of Faith (Ephesians 6:16,, 1 John 5:4) B
elt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14, John 14:6)
Breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14, Isaiah 59:17, Philippians 3:9)
Sword of the Spirit (Hebrews 4:12, John 6:63, Ephesians 6:17) S
hoes of the Gospel of Peace (Ephesians 6:10, Isaiah 62:7, Galatians 5:15)

And today this day of Michaelmas, ask the Great Archangel Michael to defend us in battle:
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Pray for the country. Pray for the President. Pray without ceasing.

The Church Has Spectacularly Failed the COVID Test…and the Faithful
Posted at 9:00 pm on September 28, 2020 by Kira Davis

“…people are suffering under lockdowns much more than we may think. My friend has a beautiful family and they’ve been able to continue working through COVID shutdowns. She has a lot to be thankful for and on the outside she might strike one as very adjusted. That is the veneer she — like many of us — has had to adopt in order to keep life as normal as possible for her children.

“But no one can be strong forever and as I listened to my friend talking I knew it in my heart.”

All of this true Lucille. Had the Apostles and Church Fathers this kind of faith Christianity would not have lasted a century. How many early bishops and priests were martyrs for the faith?

Here’s a list of martyred popes.

I will say this for Pope Francis. I watched his hour long vigil in the rain in front of St. Peter’s, in the Square, his Urbi et Orbi prayer in March. He looked like a man about to collapse under the burden he carried, as if he had the entire world on his shoulders.

At that moment in time I think he felt the burden the popes carry for the faithful. Perhaps at some point in the future we will see that moment of grace bear fruit for him and the Church. Indeed, he’s made some unexpected moves recently. We shall wait and see.

Anyhow, I think we can all see a little more clearly this year why Jesus asked if he would return to find any faith. Certainly on my part, I have failed, and failed quite miserably.

Failure in the faith…the Lord understands. That’s the blessing of confession and the contrite heart He gives to us. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!

We all know we could do better to serve our fellow believers and move our small segment of the Church–our families and friends–toward a fuller understanding of the love God has for us. When we see great figures in the faith struggle and fall, we sort of have a feeling that “Wow, if he could fail, what hope is there for me?” The answer lies in recognizing one thing…we come into this world as distinct individuals with a common problem…sin.

No getting away from it, that’s our nature. But God has provided for us and inspired men and women down through the ages to live as faithful a life as possible by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to light the way…that’s why He’s called “Savior”…to save His people from their sins. Even two steps-forward-one-step-back eventually gets us to a goal; it just takes a little longer. The Holy Spirit guides and points us toward Christ as our example.

We humans in the faith have each other. We can shake our heads at our foibles (sometimes with amusement) and repent of our sins with the help of each other. We’re a community of failures and triumphant overcoming.

Jesus Christ: “I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace. In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear; I have triumphed over this corrupt world order.” – John 16:33

Blessings on you today, Menagerie, and upon us all.

Mornin’ all. Overcast with a forecast of rain. Lunch out and a little shopping to do today. I bought about $200 worth of clothes because I was looking for long pants to wear on my trip “up North” and I couldn’t try them on in the store. So, now I have to return almost all of them. It is hard to find pants that fit. I did find two pair out of them all. It was funny that they were all the same size, but none of the ones from one store fit at all. Later. :). Have a nice day. Prepare for tonight.

Good afternoon, aus! It’s a sunny 66 today and heading to 77. It’s really cool in the apartment but I am NOT going to turn the heater on in September!

What was the country of origin for the pants which all didn’t fit? I bet they were from China.

Find something that fits and we’ll visit this Spanish naval training ship which simply has got to have some delightful looking Spanish males willing to show us around…

The “Juan Sebastián Elcano” (built 1928).

This was on our news a few days ago.
Memories are long here, and the 1966 memories of the Hough Riots remain fresh.

A young black man had walked into a (white) bar and asked for a glass of water (which are fighting words right there – water, in a bar? This is the North Coast!)
Four people were killed , untold millions lost from fires and looting.

The National Guard is already here.
      And there is naught to blame but our Corrupt Evil Media, once again fanning the Racial Flames begun by Obama. {{{spit}}}

My now-here-with-us son and I have our defensive pieces in the car when we’re out. Doesn’t really appear to be any danger (even random shootings of motorists on the I-10 in NOLA are down) but it’s just precaution.

This really bothers me. To believe that means that 0bama lost complete control of the 2 Cabinet-level Departments (State & Justice) US intelligence CIA & NSA which report directly to the president, and law enforcement agencies or that he never had control of them.
The alternative would be that 0bama was in on the plan. I am inclined to go with the latter.
