Posted a few things next door today, what got the rises were Indian (as in ‘Native American’, not sub-continent Asian) puns I fell into, same ones I’ve used here and most likely there over the years but we either gotta new crowd or folks with short memories.
Someone also commented that ad rem liked one of my posts as if rem’s a rare catch. I don’t see why, my joke was relative to what was posted at that thread…

They do not grasp the terribly complex and over the head concept of relative to what was posted.

Menagerie is correct, but imo there is a also a diff crowd there now, very mean, with no reading comprehension.

Seems we went from wildly exuberant to a…lesser…degree of engagement. That’s about all I can say for it.

Meh. Call me back when you see a ‘Black Lives Matter’ bumper sticker on an Amish buggy.

We had a call out in 2016 for Amish drivers, driving our Amish to the polls to vote.
So many volunteers a good many of us weren’t needed.

And the Amish saved our bacon in PA, too!

Good day to you, WeeWeed! Seems the Amish have been living “green” for centuries, but even they are against the “green new deal.”

Menagerie – This is for you, since you want to try more veggies in your air fryer.

Nice!
I don’t have an air fryer yet, but I noticed she used a “french fry seasoning” on the potatoes… I didn’t know it was out there, but about a year ago I accidently discovered using “Montreal Steak Seasoning” on my home fries, and got rave reviews from my vegetarian wife and daughter.
Good stuff- try it sometime if you haven’t already.
Good morning to all the wonderful folks here in Stellaville, wishing you a great Wednesday!
P.S.- I’ll ask Santa for an air fryer this year, but there seems to be many types out there…
any suggestions on the best one to ask for? I don’t like too many option buttons, and I don’t have to cook for a small army.

I don’t have one, but I’m sure someone will be glad to make a recommendation. I know Menagerie has one, so maybe she can advise you.

I have Cuisinart countertop one. A little bigger but still pretty small as far as your ability to cook a lot in it. Perfect for just my husband and me. It is really more like a convection oven, which is one of the reasons I bought it.
Other reasons I chose it, and do like it are using it also as a toaster. I got rid of the toaster. Extra oven for small casseroles and bread baking, and it should better than my big oven for bread, I think. When I use it as an air fryer there is a wire basket that slides in and air is circulating all around the food. I don’t have to keep opening the oven and flip the food which the round ones all said to do in order to cook evenly. I decided that I would not do that and wasn’t going to buy one until I looked at this one. It heats fast and cooks fast and evenly.
Because I can’t get on my feet and cook I haven’t used it as much as I’d like to get used to it, but I am impressed. Cooks the best salmon we’ve ever had. My only complaint is that if you wanted to cook meat and vegetables you would have to do them one at a time because of how small it is, unless you are just cooking for one person. Since it cooks so fast that isn’t a major deal.

Mine is a small, inexpensive Bella brand 1.6 qt. I don’t cook large meals, either, and wasn’t sure if we’d like it. But we do! Only has a temp. wheel on top and timer dial on the front. Makes great tortilla chips and does a great job on frozen French fries. I have yet to get very adventurous with it.

Hey thanks for the hot tips, I really like Cuisinart products, maybe Santy Claws will bring me one of those for Christmas, because the food looks delicious. Thanks to all for the info,
Menagerie, get healed up soon, I know it’s tough cause I’ve had that injury and it suu- It’s no fun at all. It did heal 100%, so there’s that…
Have a great evening, I got one more hour at work then I’m out.

Oh, she mentioned Brussels sprouts at the end. I have done those and they are excellent, better than cooking in the oven.
I am also a fan of that steak seasoning. I found a recipe for a steak pot pie that is one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had and it used that. Impressed me and usually I like to concoct my own seasonings.

Thank you! I’ve got squash and zucchini on the counter right now, fresh out of a relative’s garden. I was wondering if I can talk my husband through cooking them. I will take a look at this.

I typed a report of today’s events and I guess it disappeared. I waited an hour, I think, and evidently got eaten by WordPress who told me I could not post that. 😦

I just went onto the Parkway Pet Resort website and saw a little video of Loki. You have to move a little way down the page to see it under “Adorable Loki”. She looks pretty happy. 🙂
You can go on their facebook page and see her. Parkway Pet Resort.

She looks so happy. I didn’t get to go in and see where she would be staying and I pictured a much smaller kennel. So, I was glad to see it. Her tail was wagging so hard it looked like it would break off. LOL

I will try again. We left at 8:30 this morning and went to the St. Augustine Trolley. We had gone to the winery and distillery on our own yesterday, but could have gone to it on this tour just as easily. If you ever visit, go ahead and pay for the trolley because they will drop you off and pick you up wherever want to go. Plus, they give you a discount on whatever tickets you have to buy to get into any of the exhibits. We went to the old jail and museum and a chocolate factory today. We had gone early because of the afternoon storms that we expected to come in. And, we got back just before they did. There are so many things to see here. Our only disappointment was not being able to go in the fort. For some reason it was closed. We could walk around the outside, though.
The t-storm that moved in was horrendous. It got so bad that my friend who had been taking a nap came out of the bedroom “WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON!!!!” The door and window were shut and locked and the wind was blowing so hard that the curtain inside was moving. 😯 The afternoon storm yesterday happened while we were in the winery. We waited until it was over before we went outside. Later we saw on the news that a semi and some cars were turned over. It was a terrible storm. I believe it was probably as bad today. Just haven’t heard yet.

Yes. We went over the pool just as it was getting dark. It is so well lit and a perfect pool for at night. It is a beautiful shape and well arranged pool area. There are even really nice big cabanas, but they are $50 a day. Too expensive.

The fort was always my favorite thing, but maybe it’s closed because of the ‘rona. it is sort of closed up and clammy inside. St Augustine has always been a really nice place with a lot of things to see and do. I think the first time I ever went was in the 60’s as a young un. I hope you’re having a good time, and your sweet Loki sounds like they are treating her well!
