Kind people! Good neighbors are the best thing in the world, especially when you are old and need help.
Well, the dog DID obey the instructions.

I’ve wanted to visit Corfu ever since reading the book by Mary Stewart, “This Rough Magic”. It was written in 1967, but is a well-written, suspense novel with some romance in a beautiful setting.
I don’t know what these are, but they COULD be baby dragons!

This made me laugh. I wonder if it’s true? Good thing she wasn’t shot, if so.

Beauty is something that we need right now!
Glad they had a successful mission and safely returned to their families!
I’d rather not have to worry about bears. You?

This is the kind of dog I almost got instead of Tucker.
Wow! Need more folks like that in the world.

Many years ago, I had a Boxer just like that one. She was a hoot! Young Boxers are always 2 feet above the ground with their silliness! Once she turned about 2yo, she settled into the best dog you could have. she’d still get goofy once in a while, but it slowed as she got older. Her name was Missy, and she well loved.

We had a boxer when I was very young. Kids in the neighborhood were afraid of her, but I think it was the way she looked, because she wasn’t mean at all.

I know! People in my neighborhood were scared of her, but she wouldn’t hurt any human. She could kill a rat though, lol.
They thought she was a pit bull. but she would just beg for attention .I do miss her a lot. RIP Missy.

I’ve known a couple of women who were absolutely devoted to their boxers, and vice versa.

Another one of those days when I loved evey one of them! Laughed out loud at the boxer, tho!

In the first one, hooray for the kindness of strangers. That boxer was something else. LOL I thought about trying to find a Cavalier, but I am sure it would have been a long wait to get a rescue. We went to a wild bird show out in San Diego many years ago and they had a hawk, I believe, fly over us and then an owl. We could hear the hawk wings, but absolutely nothing of the owl. It was amazing.

Re the Cavalier, I checked breeders and the puppies are twice or more expensive than the Brittanies – more than $1,000! I think they also have more genetic issues. I like the size, but that made the decision easier for me.

Well, my first consideration was that it be a rescue, so I was a little bit limited, and of course, the cost was limiting.

I understand. I never could find a Brittany rescue that wasn’t already 12 years old or older.
